When the manager read my review "Disastrous lunch" he immediately phoned my daughter and said he wasn't aware of what had happened and to put it right we were all invited back for a free lunch to show us that this sort of thing doesn't happen, unfortunetly before we had chance to come my husband became very ill so although... Four of us had Sunday lunch at the hotel this week. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to a table with lovely views overlooking the harbour. The staff are very well turned out in their uniform and they demonstrated first class customer care skills and excellent food service skills. We choose from the very reasonably priced Sunday... More

We don't normally eat at the hotel we are staying in when there are lots of alternatives nearby, but, on this occasion, we made an exception for two evenings along with all breakfasts as the food was so good. We didn't get past the Grill in the evenings as it had such a good choice and we felt incapable of... More

Our children wanted to treat us to Sunday lunch and thought of Hotel de Havelet upstairs with the lovely view. Just tucking into our starters when the waiter said sorry you have Duck pate not pork did you want it changed, we said no but we left half of it knowing it was duck. Waiting for our maincourse, a waiter... More

I stayed overnight at the hotel and ate both dinner and breakfast in the Wellington Boot Restaurant. There are access difficulties to the Wellington Boot (via a spiral staircase!) and apparently no lift! Having said this, the food and service are really first class. For the first time in a long while, I was unable to finish my main course... More

Superb. Well cooked, different choice every evening, also kids meals available at a reasonable price. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Amazing views. Will definitely visit again.

The grill room & saddle bar are truly awesome. So much so despite the many restaurants in St Peters Port at which we have dined at nearly all of them at some time or another we chose on this recent visit to dine with Gian Luca (plus top chef team) on no less than 4 occasions. This speaks volumes especially... More

We went as a family group for a special birthday evening meal. Food was fantastic I enjoyed a lovely seafood platter which was good value at £8.00 too. The problem came with the steaks which we all ordered. 5 of us had the steaks we ordered, one of us had one delivered cooked differently. The waiter did not put it... More

I ate here as part of a work Christmas do. We had three very tasty courses. I often find that large group meals aren't as nice as going out with smaller groups - but this place pulled it off. I am vegetarian and I had three lovely courses. Some people had steaks - and they were served to the individual's... More
