What a bit of luck! We went into the downstairs bar, didn't fancy the menu, waitress told us there was a restaurant upstairs, so up we went and bagged the last free table. Two set menus, one three course, the other four course and very seafood. I had the seafood menu: delicious spicy crab cakes, crab bisque, half a lobster,... More

While on holiday in Guernsey in July & August we went to Moores twice. Both times we were delighted with the value, food, surroundings and service. The first time my sister had the Seafood menu - what value and a stunning Fruits de Mer. The second time we took my sister-in-law & brother-in-law and again everything was superb. I love... More

I cannot in all honesty put into words how good it is. It's more than the food, although that is extremely good, it's the attentiveness of the staff and their relaxed, nothing too much trouble attitude. Always greeted with a smile and a perfect start and finish to the day. Thank you once again and hopefully be back soon.!!

We had a glass of wine here plus sandwiches for a quick lunch with a family friend. Delicious crab and smoked salmon sandwiches. Could not wish for better. The glasses of wine were served quickly, the service was slick, and we loved examining, being local, the new mural on the wall. It is great Annie! We love it. Well done.... More

We had a table on the patio at lunchtime, with a nice view on a sunny day. Some of the tables had shades for those who found the sun too much. The menu offered something different from the other restaurants in the town centre, for example spaetzle (a simple but tasty German pasta dish), potato pancakes, and pear, blue cheese and... More

Ate here as staying at hotel and dining options on a Sunday limited! So glad we did though! The staff were great and the food was wonderful, lovely evening which they rounded off by serving us our coffee in the lounge (though suspect this was because we were almost the last in the restaurant! )

Went here as a group of 60 for staff Christmas meal. Excellent choice of dishes on menu and good price. Starter of goats cheese gratin could have been double in size as was so yummy but was too meager. sorbet with strawberry nice, steak with pepper sauce excellent and cheeseboard was nice selection, with crackers and walnut bread. Coffee and... More

I never thought that you could dine at such a posh atmosphere at such a reasonable price with an highly acceptable quality. I enjoyed not only the quality of the food, but an outstanding service within the restaurant and prior to my visit when reserving by email (recommended). Go for it if you are couple and want a nice tête-a-tete.

Busy weekend nite, but service was very good and polite, quick but no way rushing. Food was lovely, one of the best venison stew I have eaten. Nice you can choose your cheeses.

Here on Guernsey for a few days holiday - an island I know from working for the Board of Health here some years ago. Came back to Moores to see if it was still good - we were not disappointed - excellent food - good service wonderful sunshine day - and to top it all they had an excellent singer... More
