Description: A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy’s home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this.  Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.

The food was superb and we were able to choose from an extensive menu. Service was, however, extremely slow and extra staff would have perhaps solved the problem. We did appreciate a lovely atmosphere

The Old Quarter is near the top of Mansell Street, and takes a little finding, but worth doing so. Needs booking, as we only squeezed at 9pm with 2 days notice. Run by an Irish family, which explains a menu with lots of seafood, but also lots of champ! Large portions, with the surf n turf of tender steak and... More

We had booked well in advance and were really looking forward to our visit based on contributor's reports. However, from first impressions to conclusion we were left underwhelmed. I'd say the meet and greet was functional and our waitress continued that theme. The table wasn't big enough to place our bottle of wine so it had to sit on a... More

The patron as head chef makes sure you will have a meal to remember in a charming rustic setting. A varied menu with a comprehensive wine lists awaits your pleasure. It is popular for parties so it can be quite noisy but all in all, definitely worth a visit

Great evening. Fab Sea Bass, Delicious Crab Linguine and lovely atmosphere. My wife is a coeliac, Paddy (the super accommodating chef) came out to talk through what we could and couldn't have and then produced not only gluten free bread, but also gluten free cheese biscuits. 5 stars for Coeliacs. Will definitely be back.

You need to book ahead to get into the Old Quarter in July/August/Sept. The restaurant is small and tucked away in the older part of St Peter Port. The journey there is a mini-event itself. The food is "Irish" whatever that exactly means? I think it means good meat and a plateful to match. Notwithstanding the label, my fish soup... More

We first went there in 2013 and returned twice this year. The food is amazing esp steaks, desserts and the gorgeous tempura prawns with chilli jam. Not surprisingly it has got very popular so booking is advised. The choice of food is excellent as is the wine.Just felt that the waitresses need a bit more training to complete an excellent... More

We have just had dinner two nights in a row in this restaurant . Both meals were first class. Helpings were generous and cooked to perfection. Over the two nights we had brill, bream, scallops, crab, and pork and all were delicious. A good and reasonable wine list. Great bread and liver pate before the starters. Well worth a visit... More
