A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy's home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this. Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.

so good we had to go back

Greeted with a very friendly, attentive staff who showed us to our table in this quaint, oldie world restaurant. The food and inspiration is far from oldie world. Had a two day mini cruise to Guernsey for my wife's birthday. Have always eaten before now on the quay at St Peter Port but decided to try the Old Quarter Restaurant as it is shown as number 1 in Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Excellent in every way. I had rung ahead to enquire if oysters were on... More

We came here while on holiday in Guernsey. Really good choice on the menu, friendly staff, good service and delicious food. Portions a good size. The layout of the restaurant (good spacing, some booths) meant that it was easy to talk to those on our table without struggling against background noise.

Food and service here was excellent. The size of the meals was quite large, and the flavours incredible. The dessert was also very good.

Our last night in St Peter Port and, quite by chance, we'd saved the best until last! It may be slightly off the beaten track but this restaurant really deserve a visit. Everything about it was right even down to an attentive chef who came along and discuused your meal with you at the end of the evening! A more... More

The restaurant has a warm atmosphere and the seating is not too close together. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the lobster linguini had plenty of lobster in it. It's a good menu without being over fussy. Service was good and Paddy (the owner/chef) is charming and self effacing.

Previous reviews and a look at the menu on line led us to book this special meal here. We cannot praise Paddy and Dana enough as the food and ambiance were absolutely perfect. We both had scallops wrapped in bacon followed by beef medallions washed down with a very nice Merlot. Dessert and a glass of Champagne rounded off a... More

Just had a fabulous dinner at the old quarter. Staff was exceptional, food was incredible fresh Guernsey crab with an avocado mousse and lobster linguine. I can't recommend this highly enough. It certainly lives up to all it's still a ratings on Trip Advisor. If you're in St. Peter Port you simply must have dinner here.

We were over from Southampton visiting Guernsey for the first time and had read up on a few restaurants and decided to book this one for Saturday night and we are so glad we did. Ok it's not on the front with a view but it's got it's own character and down a lovely cobbled street. We were seated promptly... More
