A little bit of France in Guernsey

My wife and I visit Guernsey usually only once a year but make certain that we eat at Le Petit Bistro at least once during our six day trip; this time we went three times for dinner. My wife says that the food is the best she has ever had and I must say that the quality is top class;... read more

Had a lovely lunch here and came back again later in the week (that Croque Monsier is literally the best of it's kind I've had!). The service was a bit slow, but really nice atmosphere inside, there's no where on the island quite like it as far as I can see. Can't wait to visit again!

Our one course dinner took 2 hours. The service was very slow, the noise level was so high that conversation was impossible, the seats were extremely uncomfortable, the table size was tiny and the bill was high - altogether an unpleasant, expensive dining experience.

A charming little cafe with a great busy atmosphere. We had a quick lunch here and it reminds us of a typical French cafe in the middle of Paris! We met the owner who was very helpful. She explained some of the menu to us as we had some questions. The staff were all very efficient and friendly and the... More

This charming little place had it all. My friend was delighted with his bacon & egg roll (an early lunch) and I loved my salad with fresh fish. It was described as being

Went for a late lunch after cycling round the island. Walked through the door and it immediately felt like a good place. Excellent service. Friendly, gave you plenty of time and very positive feel. Lunch was coq au vin plus boullibaise. The coq au vin was very good. The boullibaise was excellent. Lovely soup/sauce with plenty lovely fish. Both meals... More

Lovely little cafe, friendly staff and outstanding food. Tried the mixed tapas to share as a starter, you have a small and a bigger option, we decided on the big one to follow by two steaks. We left stuffed but what a taste experience. Very long wine list, overwhelming but staff was very helpful to make a decision on the... More

We loved the more informal atmosphere of this place, but the food was incredible too. The French tapas was incredibly creative and beautifully presented, but then the main courses were delicious and good portion sizes for the cost. A bit different, but really glad we went!

Came in on a rainy afternoon, took a while to get seated, would like to see better service. However, food very good.

A true French experience with great décor (albeit rather quirky - but typically French)! The staff are always pleasant, polite and serve well. The owner Delphine knows her stuff and runs her restaurant like a tight ship - you will love it here and they also do an Early Bird Dinner which is excellent value.
