Visited Guernsey between 11th & 15th September 2013 expecting a meal at the Smugglers Grill & Bar (after confirming a booking via the internet). When we arrived, were astonished to find the restaurant had closed down. We had eaten there before twice so were very dissapointed. Very sad, as we really enjoyed eating there on a previous holiday. Has anyone... More

We V visited The Smugglers on the 26th July, we were given the choice to eat upstairs or downstairs by the very friendly Staff. Glad we decided to go upstairs, had a table by the window with a fantastic view over the Marina on a glorious summers evening. There was a wide variety of food available and not overly expensive. They... More

I dined in this delightful establishment last night. The upstairs restaurant has the tables and chairs of a 70's indian restaurant, the decour is seriously uninspiring, I mean its cheap cheesey and just dull. The menu was dull, but they were open, serving and I was hungry. I ordered the tiger shrimps, well they just weren't any good, I can't... More

Enjoyed the "Early Bird" menu twice during a 4 night stay recently in Guernsey. Lovely food and very friendly service. It's nice to be remembered when you go back for the second time. Lasagne to die for. Could hardly move afterwards, but worth every mouthful. Also, serves Rocquette cider, local brew, very enjoyable.

We ate downstairs, on a Saturday at 6pm, it was very quiet! Apparently all upstairs was fully booked but we didn't see it. Menu OK for pub-style, not very adventurous, but food well cooked and presented. Service very good - but there was only another couple as well as us! "Mus-ack" dreadful and on a loop I think! Poor service (possibly due to being too busy), terrible terrible food consistently, definitely one to miss out!

Good service, Steak sublime, seafood delicious and wine list was extensive with a reasonable price. The food was delicious and not just the steaks. You must try the Smugglers Typhoon cocktail, crazy stuff very strong and served smoking and very very cold. Great place to visit.

We were a party of 6 who hadn't booked a table on a Friday evening and came across this restaurant right on the front in St Peter Port. Some of us had the early bird menu which was really good service, tasty food and 3 courses for £10.50. If we lived locally we would be back for sure. Thanks.

My fifth visit to Guernsey and my fourth at Smugglers and they did it again! Just Gets Better, great place and food! For dinner in a casual atmosphere! Very big portions for affordable prices, def. going back, specially for those Tiki cocktails, very powerful. They were very busy, had to wait for a bit but it was worth it.
