Lovely house

Interesting to see the house and learn a bit more about it, a shame the guide was not as fluent in english as it was difficult to understand some of the things she was saying.,

When the main course arrived two had to go back as the steak was... More

The house is very ornate and the guides are immensely proud of its French heritage. You can't just turn up, you have to book a tour, which is free. It was interesting to learn of Victor Hugo's generosity to the children of Guernsey. We went twice we loved it so much!

Disliked the fact that the access was steep - a hilly road to climb up. Very interesting house. Liked all the carved wood and tapestries.
