We arrived at the end of the lunch offerings but the chef was very accommodating and served us lunch. The fresh scallops were really fresh and served in shells. The goat cheese salad was superb. Definitely a place to check out!

Lovely location and views. Service very disappointing always had to try to attract attention rather than staff coming to us. Even when requested more tea it didn't arrive and had to attract another member of staff. Sandwiches delicious but cakes way too sweet and artificial tasting. I think they bought them from a shop rather than homemade! Wouldn't go back... More

Amazing wedding venue with impeccable service and food! I Had the pleasure of having a couple of lunches at the Fermain and a wedding reception as well. (the venue) The food was great - large portions with of great flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendliness of staff and their willingness to help. Your front of house staff in... Had two superb evening dinners in this restaurant was staying at the hotel. Both nights I ate fish - Dover sole on the first evening, and the house fish and chips on the second. Food and service were great - barman Greg was helpful with aperitifs and his waitress colleagues in the restaurant couldn't do enough to help. I would... More

Refurbished since my last vist and all the better for it. Now a steakhouse offering excellent quality food at a very affordable rate. Our party of six enjoyed four of the Argentinian steaks all of which were prepared as requested, one Chicken option and one vegetarian also very good. Staff were also excellent. Final food comment - "one of the... More

This hotel is very comfortable and the staff are lovely, nothing too much trouble. They have done up the library, lounge area and introduced a coffee/tea room with nice bench window seats overlooking the bay. Our only criticism is that the menu needs to change more often. This is our second visit in two months and it is exactly the... More

Thought we'd try the seafood at this restaurant and booked for evening meal, but were not told that there would be a set menu. Very disappointed as there was only one fish dish on the main course choice. No vegetables or greenery to be seen either. The menu said duck with potatoes and the fish was seabass, clams and potatoes.... More

Booked for Sunday lunch. Lovely restaurant in stunning surroundings, sadly the food and service is sadly lacking. Main course arrived followed approx 10 mins later by the vegetables. 1 person in the party ordered Apple crumble, which was only partly warm,so it was sent back, also, they must have the smallest ice cream scoop known to man, either that or they use a teaspoon.!!.

Fantastic afternoon tea today. Sandwiches were plentiful, fresh and very tasty. Cakes were traditional but with a pretty twist and the scones large and moreish! Of course having Guernsey cream helps! Without being intrusive the lady looking after us made sure our coffee/tea pots were kept topped up and could not have been more helpful. The setting of this hotel... More
