I can understand why this place has such good reviews... our islander hosts are regulars here and we enjoyed a superb level of dining that left you wanting more.

Have been to this lovely little restaurant many times, but on this occasion I have to say a wait of 2 hours from ordering I until eating was unacceptable, on complaining we were told we are busy, we'll surely your customers deserve good service and you either say there will be a long wait, or take booking in order that... With a few hours to spare on our business trip prior to our flight away from Guernsey, we visited this wonderful gem. In one of the most picturesc bays on the island, this bistro had plenty on the menu. I had to climb my ham salad fresh bread sandwich and followed it up with a piece of Victoria Sandwich cake.... I read a couple of reviews for this bistro referring to a grubby place and even unclean staff! Please do not give these reviews a second thought. This place is immaculately clean but full of traditional French character. The staff were very busy as we went during early bird time but they were helpful and efficient and....very clean. Their uniform... More

We have visited Le Petit Bistro and Le Petit Cafe a number of times and they are always consistently excellent. This time it was to host a 12 year old's birthday party and the kids had their own separate room, separate evening and separate experience - but judging from the smiles when they emerged it was an unqualified success. Us... More

Having had an awful coq au vin here in April 2010 we plucked up courage to go again after reading recent TA reviews. We booked a table for two at 7pm and were placed upstairs completely on our own for the first half-hour or so. Fortunately the noise from downstairs provided a bit of atmosphere. Far from being ignored the... More

This is a must visit restaurant however it is popular so booking is an absolute must. A very interesting menu accompanied by a great wine list (on an i pad!). All the food is cooked to order and I would recommend their coquiles st jacque absolutely scrummy

If you would like to visit France for 2 hours while your away this is the perfect place! It really is like being in a little French bistro. With only French employees here, all your senses are stimulated from sight, sound, service, taste and smell. A truly theatrical experience! Classic, simple French cuisine done very well! After visiting twice I... More

Never heard of camembert before I came here and wow it was amazing. I also recommend the tapas as a starter... they are all divine. Food is 5 star however service can be slow at times..it is worth the wait. No matter what time of day you go; breakfast to dinner .. both menus are to die for!

Ate here with a friend on a Saturday night and it was fantastic. Firstly on asking for the wine menu you are given a tablet on which you can select wines and get tasting notes which was very handy as I'm not an expert on French wine but the pouilly fume we picked was very nice and reasonable price. After... More
