On what must have been one of the busiest days of the season it is hard to find fault with El Tico. The service was promp, friendly and efficient from all staff - of all nationalities! The food was delicious and the location is wonderful. The whole team deserves praise for superb service. Thank you

Not sure if the previous reviewer was in the same place, but as a regular of EL Tico, we have always had fabulous food and great friendly service. We always treat people how we want to be treated, so perhaps "Thomas P' needs to change his/her approach.

We have eaten at El Tico many times before and have always enjoyed the food and the amazing view there. We have also always understood that it is a relaxed and informal atmosphere. However... this does not allow for BAD service. We arrived and, as usual, were told there would be a wait. We were absolutely fine with that (30-40... More

We visit el tico regularly and absolutely love the food however the service is always cold unhelpful and leaves you wondering how certain people actually have customer service jobs. Today we visited for lunch for the second time this week and we were coldly 'greeted' by a man who grumbled at us to sit wherever... A nicer waiter came and... More

Great diner overlooking the 4 mile bay, facing West with stunning sunset views to watch the huge tidal change from beach and surfers to high waves smashing against the seawall. Excellent service, we were seated outside much faster than expected, rather than inside in the shared tables. Varied menu, and decent quality of food. Had the Gambas which were huge,... More

This great diner sits right on St Ouens Bay, so it has fantastic views & we witnessed a great sunset. El Tico is fast paced and friendly - everyone is seated on long tables and the kitchen is visible as well. The food was delicious, with a wide range of choice. Well Recommended

El Tico may not have the best food in the entire world but it certainly has the best views, very good food, great service and you can be there for lunch if you are the 12 noon flight from Gatwick! It has taken me less time to fly to Jersey and be sitting watching the surfers at El Tico than... More

Wow, Art Deco style diner/ cantina on the beach. Says it all. Superb menu, tried breakfast and came back for an evening meal a few days later. All staff were great, this is a busy, popular place and it's easy to see why. The food is really, really good and the portions are very generous and the prices are very fair.... More

Have visited El Tico a few times over the last few weeks and you certainly can't fault the location. Went for dinner last week, it was a gorgeous sunny evening so we had to wait a while for a table...but we were told 30-40 mins and were seated in 20 mins so can't complain. Food was perfectly acceptable and good... More

El Tico has been a long standing tradition, I'm told, but as a recent-comer to the island I can say the food, the service, the atmosphere and the friendliness have made El Tico a main stay in my out-of-home dining... Meals have healthy and vegetarian options, portions are well sized, the service and kitchen staff actually look happy and it's... More
