This is a tiny place inside with a few outside tables if its good weather. A rather uninspiring choice of places to eat in Gorey and this looked better than some of the others. It was a decent lunch, good quality and quantity for our sandwiches and jacket potato. Staff were young and inexperienced but were just about coping with... More

Impromptu visit for a quick cup of tea. Opted for the cream tea, which was great portion size for the charge. Provably seats 30 covers so space is limited. Service was good cakes and scones a tad dry but nothing to worry about. Was joined by a seagull attempted to steal the cake from the table. Keep your wits about... More

Lovely setting below the castle. Not many tables but worth the wait, fresh caught crab sandwich was extremely tasty. The baguette was crispy and fresh. The Latte was very good, very nice coffee, and needed after climbing all orotund the castle. Serve take away sandwiches too. and there is space to sit on the little wall, or benches by the... More

Great location but lacks space and I think it's offerings are affected by that. Only sells soft drinks and tea & coffee, another place that only does filter coffee - it could be a lack of space prevents having a full blown machine though. Food is generous portion wise, I had a ploughman's and my wife had a crab salad,... More

We stopped for a bit of lunch, the place was busy and all they seemed to be interested in, was getting as many as they could in the place. For the money we paid I would have expected some garnish with the sandwich but all you get is a few crisps. The tea pot looked like it could do with... More

I stopped here a couple of days ago for a bite to eat on my walk. The service was slow and when my apple pie came, it arrived with ice cream, not cream. Instead of an apology it just got snatched away without a word, quite rudely. The apple pie itself was ok, it looked better than it tasted (bland).... More

We ate lunch here today. The crab was a good portion. The potatoes were microwaved and the salad was tired. The place was pretty dirty. Seat cushions, worktops and things like dressing bottles. If your kitchen is in view, tidy the bins. Overall, for £15 main courses, barely average.

Impromptu visit for a cream tea. Cream tea was generous, very large scone, good lump of whipped cream, jam and a slice of light tasty lemon polenta cake. A couple of reviews have a confusing complaint about weak tea, our's came in a pot so could be as weak or strong as you like? Service was efficient but perfunctory. Btw... More

Popped into this cafe for a 'lite bite' after visiting the castle. It seemed the best of a limited selection along the harbour side. Had a bowl of soup and a soft drink. The soup fine although I though the portion was a little small and the soup could have been a bit hotter. The price was fairly steep (maybe... More
