We stopped here midway through a long cycle and were delighted at the wonderful array of freshly made cakes, scones and bread, some gluten-free. We were a big party, so between us, we sampled nearly everything. Their salads are healthy and fresh and my tuna sandwich was one of the nicest I'd ever eaten - lots of veg mixed in... More

This cafe has some very tasty food, from sandwiches to soup, cakes and lots of honest good food. The shop has a very eclectic mix of food and drinks available for the weary traveller. Clodagh will cater for your every whim, and has a tremendous knowledge of the surrounding area. You will meet all sorts of people here, from the... More

It was raining heavily as we arrived at Laragh and took shelter here for a coffee. This is an unpretentious and slightly quirky little cafe, which also combines a small grocery/deli. After noting the lunch menu, we returned later to eat and enjoyed a simple but delicious meal - homemade salads, vegetable bake, soup etc. This was followed by the... More

After a few hours on the bike I need a pick me up to keep me going for the next few. The food is good quality and fresh. It is south facing so you dont even get cold. Giro on Mamils.

Did I mention that everything is freshly made?? The staff are very friendly and are always on hand to recommend places... More

I visit this cafe regularly and it's one of my favourite places in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and everything is homemade. The staff are always friendly and obliging. I always mean to just have some healthy soup or salad but the cakes are irresistible. There's a great range of teas and coffees as well. You can... More

We stumbled on this shop/cafe whilst passing through Glendalough and were very happy that we did. The choice of salads and special of the day which my husband sampled were really lovely. My son had a huge sandwich that kept him quiet for most of the day- good result! We didn't find any problems at all with the service, for... More

There is a logical reason why the Glenalough Green is busy and filled with cyclists every weekend, and it's not all location. Simply stated, the sisters who own the place (Clodagh and Phillipa, and sometimes Katy) are great cooks who make everything themselves and they treat their customers well. We went in for coffee and cake one day and soup... More
