Good food and wine list

A good choice of food, mainly local, with nice fresh vegetables and a good wine list. Always very busy, so worth booking at weekends. Staff are very friendly.

More or less what was expected going in. A little bit touristy, a little bit too expensive, but overall not too bad for a pre-trip to Glendalough bite to eat. The staff were polite and the food came out in a timely fashion. On a small and somewhat picky note, if you're going to throw mushrooms in a lasagna at... More

Really disappointing as we were after a fabulous few hours in Glendalough and heard from the visitor center staff that this was a good place to get a bite to eat. None of us could even go near finishing our food, which was just terrible. It was basic nuggets and chips for the kids and we had burgers and chips... More

By all means SHARE an entree! Food is delicious. Parking is at a premium so arrive early or late. Service is excellent. Save room for homemade desserts.

The major attraction of Glendalough is the monastic city associated with St Kevin. But to the pantheon of saints can be added St Betty, who with her husband owns and manages the fabulous Wicklow Heather in the village of Laragh. The food of course is fabulous - we've eaten there twice in the past week to convince ourselves it wasn't... More

Can't recommend this place enough, food was amazing, I had the corned beef, my husband had the fish and chips.. and both dinners were gorgeous and good size portions. staff were great too and very friendly. If I'm being picky the chips arnt fantastic, but after the long walk, I ate the lot 😊 Would definitely be returned to this... More

Over many years I've witnessed a once great restaurant decline. Many times I've returned hoping for a reappearance of the quality and service that were associated with the name 'Wicklow Heather' in past years, but sadly it appears as though things are getting worse. From being left waiting in excess of thirty minutes for a menu, to being asked to... More

Fab restaurant with a great atmosphere . Very friendly staff and a great choice of food on the menus. For all the Irish whiskey lovers there is a great Irish whiskey menu. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks to Betty and to Paul the resident whiskey expert for a great evening.

While the location is excellent all the outside tables are looking at the road. We even had the unique experience of watching the dumper truck pick up the rubbish. Swopping the car park for the outdoor eating space would make a significant improvement. However the food was above average for lunch time. I had cajun chicken which could have been... More
