That was my second visit in this place. Once i got there soaking wet after hiking in irish shower. Hot coffee and irish breakfast was all i needed. Full Irish Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Today i visited Wicklow Heather with my family. We had a lunch, lovely seafood chowder, french soup and for a main course salmon and haddock. If... More

My companion and I had lamb and we both agreed it was the most memorable meal we had. We also got lucky and got rooms in their B and B next door. Charming, clean, spectacular view. The kind of place that makes you want to return to this area. The breakfast was included at the restaurant we had dinner at...Scored... More

When in the vicinity of Glendalough in Co. Wicklow, we always make a point of stopping at the Wicklow Heather Restaurant just down the road in Laragh, as there's just no beating it! Both the lunch menu & the evening A La Carte are very good value. The food is superb & where possible is locally sourced & the quality... More

5 of us had a super lunch at the Wicklow Heather restaurant yesterday. Great Food, fantastic service and above all at great value. The hostess and owner spent sometime with us telling the background to the fantastic literary collection from all the great Irish Authors. I did't catch her name, but a most genial hostess. I'll be back soon.

Had a meal in here was was good, and followed that with a few drinks. The interior was lovely (typically Irish) and the drink selection was even better.

Always a treat to return to this very homely restaurant in a beautiful part of Ireland. Atmosphere is very homely, food very comforting after a long walk and staff friendly, reasonable value. Tip : if planning to go at weekend book a table in advance as often long wait around lunch time, which is testament to a great restaurant.

Our small group dinner ate at Wicklow Heather restaurant on three nights out of the nine we stayed in Glendalough. The menu selection and variety was wonderful. The food itself delicious and attractively plated. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient and the arrival of our food was fairly prompt. Although we did not use the outdoor tables, many others... More
