Very friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of menu. Best dinner of our 19 day holiday in Ireland and Scotland. Sensible prices.

We love Wicklow and this spot is gorgeous! The food and service is excellent. Two of us had salmon and it was fabulous! Two had the lamb and raved. Our excellent waitress suggested the garlic potatoes and she was spot on! Not a garlic mash like in the US, but chunks of potato in a creamy garlic sauce...YUM! A dessert... More

My parents were visiting. I brought them down to Trooperstown Woodlodge and we had dinner at the Wicklow Heather. They picked us up, brought us back. The meal was excellent made of local produce (fish and lamb) even the desert was locally produced ice cream. I've been there a few times and always left very happy. Very recommendable

The nicest staff, the best food, great atmosphere. The owners John & Betty are among the nicest most helpful people you'll meet - nothing is too much trouble for them. This is one place not to be missed. We had a family celebration there recently & they, along with their staff helped to make it a memorable night. So whether... More

We went to The Wicklow Heather because we spotted it on the road. So glad we did! We were seated in a room that was full of old books, all written by Irish authors - Yeats, Stoker, Swift, Wilde, and more. Great atmosphere! The staff was great and the food was delicious! Try to prosecco! This place is a gem!

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant the day we arrived at the Wicklow Way Lodge and the proprietor suggested this restaurant, in fact he called them up and made a reservation for us and told us they would send someone around to pick us up. I was already starting to like this place. Well the restaurant was... More

Amongst the best of Irish food we've had. Not just fish and chips. The fish was amazing. The portions are huge. The wine list looked good, but the whiskey list was so intriguing that I just stopped there. The cheese board we had for desert could have been a main course and was amazing. It was also a good place... More
