A party of six of us went here and from start to finish not one of us could find any fault. The starters the Mains and the desert were all spot on and washed down with some nice wine. The staff always make you feel welcome and I always look forward to going back. We were in the Bistro in... More

Came with another couple. We didn't have a reservation, and were fortunate to get a table. Lovely setting and ambience. Main courses were generous and steak nicely done. Lemon tart for dessert was excellent. Very wide wine selection.

We enjoyed a great meal at the Hungry Monk this evening. The service was friendly & helpful allowing us time to have a quick stroll to the beach before we sat down. We all had crab claws to start with - very tasty if not rather garlicky. Then we had scampi x2 & cod x2. The batter was light &... More

After walking all around Greystones looking at all the different menus and restaurants, we ended up going into the hungry monk bistro. I think it was really a foregone conclusion! Having eaten here several times before it has never disappointed. From it's monkish medieval atmosphere, including 'gregorian chant' in the loos ... To it's delicious, beautifully served food. I loved... More

Usually have the early bird in the main restaurant but as we were a little late we ate in the bar. Slightly smaller menu but the same wonderful food and great service. This place is consistently good and the only problem with the menu is that the choices are all so good it is hard to know what to choose.

The Hungry Monk looks like a small restaurant from the outside - but has a tardis like effect! The decor is lovely with plush red seating and chunky wooden tables. Six of us visited last Sunday and had a wonderful time. With an age range between 20 and 80 it could have been difficult to satisfy all. The menu was... More

Dined in the restaurant and would like to pass on my thanks to the staff who could only have been more pleasant and courteous to us all. They were very good in recommending specials and all the best of the menu. If this is number three dining I think the other restaurants must be heaven sent. But this was superb.
