Visited here recently with some collegues from work. We went to their upstairs restaurant and availed of their "Christmas Set Menu". It was high quality food and at €35 we all felt was good value. They have the place decorated nicely for Christmas which added to the evening. Service was friendly and efficient and check out the wine list!! Well... More

Was there on a family christening, our food was very bland. This is the second time I gave this place a go. If you are just visiting Ireland chances are you will not enjoy the food, if you are Irish its just grand as they say.

My son lives in Wicklow and he said that this restaurant did a great Sunday lunch. He wasn't wrong. There were 7 of us and the 4 adults had roast beef which was melt in your mouth and the best Yorkshire pudds I have ever had!! The kids menu was great too, all freshly cooked and with their little jar... More

So we have recently moved to Delany near Greystones. Been here 4 times and each time its been excellent and always good fun too with the banter from the owners and staff. Tried both their restaurant and their bistro different menus both very good. Taken friends here and they loved it too. Will be back! Where's the loyalty card!!

Visited here recently for the first time on foot of all the great TA reviews. It didnt disappoint us. From the fantastic welcome in the "Abbey" like hallway we were shown to our lovely table in the newer section of the bistro. All four of us agreed that it was the best meal we had had in a long time,... More

Have been here a few times food always good nice selection of wines as well which are shelved all round the place. Can be pricey but you certainly get what you pay for. The owner is quite witty so a laugh always guaranteed. Watch out for the music in the loos !!!

My two friends and I visited the downstairs bistro last week for a birthday dinner. I usually go to the restaurant upstairs but decided to go for a more casual setting. Every time I attend this restaurant I leave a happy customer. The food was outstanding. I had the beetroot and orange salad and pan fried hake. The portion size... More

My review relates to the downstairs Bistro section of The Hungry Monk (the restaurant upstairs is, in my opinion, a more formal dining experience and has a more "gamey" menu). The downstairs Bistro is actually spread across two rooms, the original section is more traditional decor (dark wood panelling and ornate tables and chairs) ideal for couples and small groups...
