Fantastic food and staff

Had a family meal here in July 2015. Fantastic menu and staff. Nothing is any trouble and the informal and chatty approach of the staff just sealed it off completely. Menu did not disappoint and especially the lamb kidney starter was a huge hit. If you're in the area be sure to book and sample... read more

Ate here recently after hearing rave reviews, particularly about their seafood. Myself and a friend visited their bistro midweek and we were delighted. Seafood platter for me, beautifully presented and scrumptious and fresh scampi for my friend who said it was the best ever. Special mention to Julian who took care of us really well as did the other staff.... More

Had Sunday lunch here. The food was very good and the owners were the most friendly people I have met. We enjoyed the quirky take on monks and the decor references added great conversation. An excellent resturant

Visited July 2015 and had a fabulous evening. We took a table of 6 in the Bistro downstairs and enjoyed bistro staples pâté , black pudding, pan fried liver, chicken wings and mushroom fritters to start. Mains were beef fillets, crispy duck, hake and cod. We drank the house French red Côtes du Rhone Guigal, which is delicious, and followed... More

We had a lovely lunch today. Great food, generous portions and very friendly service. It was also good value for money. Spotlessly clean also. Lots of fresh fish available. I thought it was lovely for a lazy Saturday lunch - would have liked to linger a bit longer but we had an appointment to go to. Keep up the good... More

Booked upstairs for our wedding anniversary and was not overally impressed , after being seated there was nearly 10-15 mins before we got a chance to put in aperitif orders and indeed it was difficult to get the attention of anyone for most of the evening. Appetisers were definitely the best part, 3 scallops with tomatoe veloute and crabmeat salad,... More

My family have been visiting this "institution" since before I was born, literally!! They have been on the go for nearly 30 years and are always evolving with the times. We always go to the restaurant for birthdays, family occasions etc and for a casual bit of grub and a good bottle of wine we go to the bistro. We... More

On a recent trip home myself and my family decided to take a visit to Greystones on the train. After checking the various dining options we decided on this place as the menu had great variation.
