Delicous beyond words......my friend had Quail,I had scallops to start.....delicately and colourfully presented, to the point of feeling guilty at disturbing the artistic display! Taste silenced our conversation as we savoured the delicate combination of flavours..... We both had steaks cooked to perfection, never have we tasted vegetables like these . .followed by berry crumble for him and pear frangipanfor... More

Just by chance we dropped into marl field house for some lunch. Service excellent and food superb. I had the smoked haddock as a main and my friend had the salmon risotto. A couple of glasses of Chardonnay and we were on our way. Waitress very attentive and ambience with classical music in the background! Love to try dinner in... More

A must-see in Gorey, amazing gardens and a real old-style house with roaring fire and silver service tea and coffee. food incredible with ingredients from their own gardens. Chickens, dogs and cats roaming around and always a friendly, personal greeting from the owners. not to be missed!

We had such a fantastic stay here. Complete luxury. Vera gave us a lovely warm welcome. Stayed in an incredible room with four poster bed, very romantic. Loved walk around the gardens. Dinner was really delicious followed by drinks by an open fire. The level of care and attention here is really high. Staff couldn't be nicer. Can't wait til... More

Beautiful house and grounds. I went to a cousin's reception here and it was one of the best I have been to. Delicious food, great staff, amazing setting. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Disappointing food, terrible service, defiantly not the fine dining experience we expected. We recently shared a family celebration with lunch in Marlfield House, but it will be the last time we go there. It is a beautiful place, immaculately kept and as we entered our excitement and expectation of a great day were set. However, the food was poor, the... More

I dined here with friends and it was a delightful experience until we were moved out of the conservatory into a library for after-dinner coffee. At 11.30 pm we were asked to keep our conversation level down as there were people asleep in the room above us! This was a surprise to us as we had been moved to this... More

Great food and excellent service One of the best sunday lunches we have had out in a while. The garden is well worth a visit. Vegetables grown in the garden are used in the kitchen.

We had a glorious drive to Gorey from Dublin. On arrival we were given our menus in the elegant Library bar. The menu did not disappoint, we had a tough time deciding what to try because of the fabulous variety. Our choices were taken while we enjoyed our aperitifs. We were then shown into the beautiful diningroom in the glass conservatory.... More
