The Forge Restaurant has to be one of the best dining experiences in the republic. You can expect an experience, that will leave you extremely well fed (no small decorative portions here) the food presentation is very good with plenty of it, it is well cooked and fresh produce locally sourced is used. Located just of the M3/N3, The Forage Restaurant is as good a country restaurant as your likely to find. Love The Forge. I had the Pigeon starter which was cooked well, I.e. pink though I think the pigeon itself was a little tough. The fillet steak was beautiful. The tiniest bit over medium rare but the cut of meat was phenomenal. Dessert was great, the brownie was delicious. I managed to also taste the cheese plate supplied by Sheridans.... More

This little place is in the back of nowhere but the food is superb the decor is very tastefully done the staff are very friendly and will advise you well it is well worth the travel to get here it's a little hidden gem

Second time to visit this beautiful restaurant and both times it was top quality. The setting is country, homely and family orientated. Recently visited this restaurant with the girlfriend's family, had also visited prior to this, had excellent food, service with a smile and great homey atmosphere! A semi-secluded gem!

i and my family dined here and it was a wonderfull meal, price was very good too, the staff are the owners and are very good at looking after your needs. lovley place and great restaurant, booking advised

Had a beautiful meal in the forge last nite, from the phone call to book until the coffee at the end of our meal it was brilliant. Lovely warm eatable food brilliant service what more can I say. We will definitely be back. Soon.

Haven't been to the forge for a few years. Went out with my partner for a meal there to celebrate my birthday was looking forward to something special. Firstly the decor is very dated could do with a revamp. The menu is still the same very little changes over the last few years.. Plenty of staff running around no customer... More
