Had coffee and scone here recently which was expensive for the quality. customer service not a priority a grunt is the best you can expect from staff. Place was untidy with tables needing to be cleaned but staff too busy chatting among themselves. Nicer cafes in portlaoise. Won't be back

I visited here with my girlfriend on the 12th of April....we ordered a stirfry and a burrito from the all day menu....we were amazed at the wide selection offered on the all day menu....stirfries, burritos, fajitas, nachos etc.... We waited less than ten minutes for our freshly prepared food....but the wait seemed to fly by as wre were fascinated at... More

Expensive, no air conditioning - so gets hot on warm days making for uncomfortable dining. The place could be cleaner - no ice got drinks that where warm.

Dear Damimen, I am replying to your review on our restaurant recently. Thank you for taking the time to give us your comments. I can only respond by saying that your review is factually incorrect. You stated that we have no Air Conditioning on the premises. This IS ACTUALLY INCORRECT. We certainly do have air conditioning, not only that but... More

Had lunch here with some family and friends recently and had a really great meal. The space is beautiful, light and airy - an urban respite. I was impressed with the variety and quality of the food - a mixture of traditional Irish and continental/international fare. The portions were sizable, the food tasted great, and I felt the value for... More

Had by far the nicest porridge here recently. Loved that it was made to order instead of sitting in a pot like gruel! Creamy and served with fresh berries & maple syrup. Partner had the big breakfast and opted for the brown bread - wow, He loved it. Wanted the pancakes too - maybe next time, will def be back.... More

My self and my partner ate here on st.patrick's day. We have visited before and found everything okay. I ordered the soup with a sandwich. It was veg soup but it was tasteless, it was like drinking flavored water. We both had milkshakes which were terrible. They were €3.25 for a medium sized glass of not so cold milk and... More

Really wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to go for lunch.. Was waiting 42 minutes for a BLT sandwich! Had to leave before food arrived.. Not good enough! I informed staff that I didn't have time to wait any longer for my sandwich and they weren't overly impressed..

Dear Laois gal, Thank you for writing a review on our restaurant recently. However I am so so dissappointed to discover that your experience was far from pleasant, a situation whereby a customer would have to wait 40 mins for a B.L.T and even at that stage not receive it, is-as you said- completely unacceptable. I assure you this is... More

Have eaten here a few time before and am always impressed with the quality of the food and the politeness of the staff. €5.95 for a soup and sandwich is a fantastic deal. We had my inlaws with us on saturday 28th of january and it was more my mother in law who pointed out her disappointment in the person... More

Dear Theredarmy, I would like to thank you very much for taking the time to review our restaurant recently. Im very glad to hear that you enjoyed your lunch on the day. The comments you made about the queues at the cash desk, and the fact there was just one girl here- are very valid. We would generally have 2... More

I visited there today 5/11/13 I ordered tea for two,the teapot had a massive dirty crack all the way down the side,I joked with the girl who served me I said "that's not going to break in half is it?" She just said "no" it really belonged in the bin,and not given to a customer. There's an awful lot of... More

Dear Jill, Thank you for your review on our restaurant recently. I do apologise if you were served a teapot with a crack on the side. Our crockery is examined every day and anything with a crack/chip is removed. I have spoken to all staff members on the day in question and examined CCTV. Not one of our staff working... More
