Visited, this week this cafe is very popular with, locals always,a,great, sign of a business! Would advise that at lunchtime you may need to queue for a table. Lovely healthy food mixture of pizzas, salads, wraps and delicious coffee! Noticed that a lot of regulars called for coffee takeouts served in very trendy patterned cups! A small friendly place with wonderful staff. It was great to get a coffee on a rainy day (in July)after spending time at the artisans' shops. Great bakery goods, good view so you can see when the rest of your party are coming to join you.

I absolutely love Builin Blasta, situated by the promenade in Spiddal, Co.Galway. I am a local to the area and love the atmosphere when you enter the cafe , it's just so homely. All the staff are so lovely and friendly. The cafe has a large window front - perfect if you're nosy like me and love to people watch!... More

Regular visitor to Buillin Blasta at weekends for breakfast, lunch or both. The food is excellent and the homemade breads, scones and cakes are delicious while the service is great. The chef was kind enough to give me his scone recipe for my mother on my last visit. I'd highly recommend this little gem in a fab surrounding. Tip: the... More

Enough said. The rest of the menu looked very appetising too. Happy customers. A haven on a cold, rainy day. That's May for you in the Whest.

The coffee and cakes were worth the short wait for a table. The food was excellent, everybody was friendly and the craft village is well worth visiting. It is a little gem hidden away at the back of a craft village. It was a particularly busy time for the cafe, much busier than normal. I have visited previously and I... More

One of my favourite Cafes. Their Seafood Chowder is delicious and so is their Salmon pizza. This place is a must see. The staff are also very friendly and helpful....they always make us feel so welcome.

Another trip to Galway and headed out to Spiddal to enjoy the fantastic food at Builin Blasta. I went for a pizza - great combo on chicken, cheese, spinach and a few other things. Then managed to squeeze in the cholocate brownie as well - perfection for me.

I visited this café last week with family who do not live in the west and I was most impressed with the home made food and service. I live in the west and had not visited this café before I didn't know it existed it took my visitors from the east coast to tell me it was there. We were... More

When we stopped at the Ceardlann, in Spiddal, I was not too hopeful of getting a lunch but had a look anyway. The last, hidden, small establishment was a bakehouse and I thought I would be lucky to get some nice bread or cakes. I was quite surprised at the menu which offered so many interesting things. I opted for... More
