The coffee and cakes were worth the short wait for a table. The food was excellent, everybody was friendly and the craft village is well worth visiting. It is a little gem hidden away at the back of a craft village. It was a particularly busy time for the cafe, much busier than normal. I have visited previously and I... More

One of my favourite Cafes. Their Seafood Chowder is delicious and so is their Salmon pizza. This place is a must see. The staff are also very friendly and helpful....they always make us feel so welcome.

Another trip to Galway and headed out to Spiddal to enjoy the fantastic food at Builin Blasta. I went for a pizza - great combo on chicken, cheese, spinach and a few other things. Then managed to squeeze in the cholocate brownie as well - perfection for me.

I visited this café last week with family who do not live in the west and I was most impressed with the home made food and service. I live in the west and had not visited this café before I didn't know it existed it took my visitors from the east coast to tell me it was there. We were... More

When we stopped at the Ceardlann, in Spiddal, I was not too hopeful of getting a lunch but had a look anyway. The last, hidden, small establishment was a bakehouse and I thought I would be lucky to get some nice bread or cakes. I was quite surprised at the menu which offered so many interesting things. I opted for... More

The food and service is always of the highest order here. The place is so popular that it is always full when I visit, always a good sign. My children love going there as they have delicious treats. PS the babychinos are free.

While visiting family in Spiddal, I took a walk into the village looking for a place to have a scone and cup of coffee. I knew there was a cafe of some kind in the back of the Spiddal Craft Village so decided to give it a try. What a surprise! I got there when it opening and was warmly... More

While this is a cafe style restaurant it belies it's portrayal of being a cafe as the food is top class, homemade and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful and wile the menu is brief everything therein is excellent. There was also a rainbow in appearance on the day we visited which added to the - finding food... More

Finding good scones should be easy but it is actually really hard! Well the best scones ever are in this cafe, they have a seriously good baker here. Wonderful bread and pastries too. All the food looks really good, the staff are nice and the location is easy with good parking. Perfect for Sunday brunch and good value too.
