Fantastic

The food and setting here are perfect. I had the hosts cheese tart which was heavenly. However what made it stand out were the staff. I'm not sure I've ever had such lovely waitresses before. We stayed much longer than we intended because we were put under no pressure to leave. There was a mix up... read more

We arrived here for an early lunch on a beautiful summer-like day. Thee setting is good, with pleasant views over the Atlantic. My wife ordered scrambled egg with chives and smoked salmon, with tea; I had the ham omelette potato cake and asked for water to wash it down. The potato cake was an unusual combination of ingredients, and I... More

It's good value for money here alright but you must enjoy a specific type of food to eat here for lunch. There's no toasted sandwiches or the likes! I got the salmon salad and the salmon was very chewy and stringy and the only other thing in the salad was fossil lettuce - the dressing then was so strong it... More

Fantastic Food. A gem of a place. I meet up with friends there often, year round. Very busy in summer.

My family and I had brunch here a few weeks ago and it was excellent. We got in just before the lunchtime rush and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I was a little disappointed that there was no gluten free bread on offer but the waitress offered me every substitute possible which I love!

Stopped of here on our journey to the west - and what a place. We were surprised to find the food and coffee of excellent quality and were disappointed that we had already had lunch in another eatery so only had an excuse to have coffee and a cake. Do try Builin Blasta if you are in the area.

Dearbhla is fantastic, a real asset to the cafe, always so chatty and friendly. Not to mention she's the best at making hot chocolate!!! Delish!

We stopped at the Builin Blasta on our way through Spiddal, for coffee and a snack. We sat outside to enjoy the view of the water, and enjoyed what was one of the best homemade desserts ever. Bustling little restaurant, but well worth a visit should you ever be in the neighbourhood.

I had the absolute best scone ever at this restaurant. It was served with butter, jam and cream. And I had a delicious mocha to go with it.

I have visited this restaurant several times, on my own and with famly, and have always been delighted. The home made sausage rolls are amazing, as also is the wide selection of great cakes, served with cream and fruit. The coffee (including decaffeinated) is very tasty, and the staff are lovely: friendly and efficient. The location, the building, and the... More
