Whilst on holiday in Roundstone, we tried O'Dowds for a meal. The food was good, although only a small portion of vegetables and rather expensive. Nice views of the sea and relaxing homely atmosphere by the fire.

We were 2 people dining on St Patricks day. Found the menu to be very limited, 1 steak, 1 chicken dish, 1 vegetarian etc. In addition it was very overpriced even for a tourist town. If the quality of the food matched the price, you could live with the limited menu, but unfortunately this was not the case. The steak... More

We had a lovely warm welcome on our arrival and had the best seafood chowder in the world. This place is a MUST visit if you're ever in the vicinity. Roundstone is idyllic with gorgeous views and very friendly locals.

A friend from Galway took me here over the weekend. We had a very warm welcome from the waitress. Although it was a late meal, the kitchen was still opened. We had a fantastic meal, washed down with a glass of white wine. The seafood is incredibly fresh: it's definitely worth trying the oysters & not missing the crab! I... More

For the umpteenth time we returned to this little gem. The pub is small, it gets very very crowded, but who cares its the place to be.Pint of Guinness is your only man (never mind the crush, the babble of chat and banter and when you get a seat have the Chowder and make sure your friend has the Crab... We were looking forward to a fresh fish meal. Unfortunately, we were served tasteless pieces of haddock with equally uninteresting mashed potatoes and nothing else. An expensive disappointment.

Called in and were seated beside the peat fire on a cold November afternoon. This is an excellent traditional Irish bar with friendly staff, good food and good Guinness. A must for anyone visiting Roundstone, Plus it has wi-fi.....
