First visit of 2016

This was a return visit to a favourite eatery. The place was not too busy and service from the barman was efficient. Food was delicious and service from Ailbhe ( a nursing student at NUIG) was friendly. We have had some below par experiences here but were very happy this visit and will definitely... read more

Called here recently while on the way to Galway. Although it was a Sunday and extremely busy we got a table almost immediatly and the meal was served very quickly by a most charming an helpful waitress, Danielle. The Chowder is outstanding and Crab Claws even better. Well worth a visit.

We were told when we arrived there was no table, but an other member of staff got us a seat and the food was great, some of the staff would need to smile and have more manners.

The food was excellent, I had the beef fajitas and my boyfriend had the chicken curry. Both of us were very happy with both the food... More

I came in here on a Friday evening; busy with drinkers at the bar and about three tables free. I waited at the "please wait to be seated " sign. The waitress passed me 15 times without even acknowledging me; as did the waiter. When he e eventually did, he would not give me a table but would only offer... More

I was looking forward to stopping here for breakfast. I have been calling here for many years and am a creature of habit. My companion was a hungry student anxious to dive into food! We arrived at 11.20 am - I know this because I asked the barman if breakfast was still being served, We ordered a full breakfast and... More

This is one of my favourite South Galway Restaurants. It's consistent in it's service, presentation and cleanliness. AND the food is always really good. The menu isn't vast but there's something for everyone here.. Set in a traditional Irish Pub, we're not talking fine dining here, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the high standard in this pub/restaurant.... More

Conveniently situated in the village beside pubs etc with a river running along the side of it. Plenty of parking on the street or behind the building.
