I had the chicken schnitzel my other half had the cod and salmon bake tasty pub grub but felt it was a bit pricy for the type of what I would call pub grub we ate felt they were very tight with the garnishes and the portion of chips for both of us sadly I herd great things about this... More

Cozy, cozy in the bar Area, good service and good food. Fires about the room. A little piece of old Ireland. I visit every year and am never disappointed. Had the rib eye steak and fries with peppercorn sauce and it was very good.

Stopped in here on the way from killarney to westport - my girlfriend noticed it from the road so we stopped. Had a gigantic and delicious lamb shank which was also very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

I had the pleasure of eating here recently and it was so nice I want to go back as soon as possible. There were 4 of us of different age groups and not one of us could find fault with what we ordered. I choose the fish pie and it was full of salmon and cod and we all tried... More

We went here on the 1st March in the evening for two sea food chowders! This is not the first time that we have had the chowder here! However, it will certainly be the last! When I was 3/4 way into same, I thought that I had a fish bone in my mouth! What disgust I felt when I discovered... More

Stopped by on the drive back to Galway city for Sunday lunch. The menu has a great choice and we had to ask the waitress for a few more minutes to decide just what we wanted to eat! The pub was busy and there was a nice Sunday afternoon atmosphere. The waiting staff were very pleasant and attentive. I went... More

A group of us popped in here for lunch en route from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway. Adequate parking outside and clean toilets - always plus factors! The wait for the food was quite long, but when it came everyone was satisfied with their meals. I got the Chicken Schnitzel and it really was quite superb. Not cheap, but... More

Honestly, this pub is for tourists--way overpriced and nothing special about it, except maybe for the thatched roof outside. It is in an upscale suburb of Galway and believe me, it has the prices to match. There isn't anything on their menu that is particularly outstanding, and the prices are totally inflated. My partner ordered a Plaice (fish) dish and... More

Our family of 6 went out to Paddy Burkes on Thursday evening. Yet again we weren't disappointed by the fare or service . The chowder is still to die for ! Kiddy pizzas at €5 were very tasty and representing good value. Mains of sizzling prawns and house curry were excellent. Staff were attentive, polite and did all that they... More
