Called in on spec as I was passing. Very busy on a friday but was shown a table quickly and enjoyed a good soup and open prawn sandwich. Excelent food, well served.

A very beautiful place. Kitchen always open, good seafood and affordable prices. Very large menu, with soup, mussels and other, you can choose between wine and beer.

Very tired and worn interiors and uncomfortable seating in bar area. Service wasn't great and we ended up chasing staff for our bill despite the place being quiet. The food was very disappointing with little effort in prep and presentation. Very slap dash. Won't be returning!

Driving from Ennis to Athlone in a campervan, it's difficult to find good parking and good food.... We found both at paddy burkes... We stopped for a bowl of chowder and we were not disappointed! Fish of every type ... Including Mussels, clams and a huge creamy oyster... We loved every bite... Thank you!

We've spent many years driving past Paddy Burkes but decided to stop off last Sunday evening. The restaurant is lovely inside and has a real romantic feel to the part we were seated in. Great menu to choose from, from light bites, pizzas, fish and steaks. The staff were very friendly and service was good. Great portion sizes and good... More

Probably for the last 30 years I have driven through the beautiful village of Clarenbridge on the main road from Galway to Gort, Ennis or Limerick and often commented on how I should stop there sometime for a bite to eat in the well known and internationally acclaimed Oyster Inn, however time commitments of perhaps having just departed from the... We were in Clarenbridge getting a new mandolin for my son and decided to have dinner in Paddy Burke's pub and restaurant. Staff were friendly and engaged the children. There was six of us for dinner, two adults and four children. My husband had the chowder and I had the duck salad both divine. The kids shared a portion of... More

I reviewed this bar/restaurant back in October and I have been several times since. The food is always first class and the staff are always friendly and obliging. A few reviews have said this is a tourist pub, I totally disagree, this a local watering hole where you meet people who live in the surrounding areas, that is what I... More

Had dessert and drinks here (ate oyster here several years ago and they were very good). Sat at bar and enjoyed the friendly staff, the gorgeous bar, and excellent desserts with drinks. Right on N18 just south of Galway. Home of the very famous annual Clarenbridge Oyster Festival.... Last year's queen was our bartender, very engaging young lady (Lorraine).
