The Redbank has always been the jewel of Skerries restaurants and it really did live up to our expectations last night. The evening started with a very warm welcome from Terry and a seat by the warm fire. We ate from the early bird menu which is fantastic value considering the choices and quality. As there were 7 of us... More

My husband and I went for dinner at the weekend. It would be hard to find fault with the staff or food, but the room is so dated it is now unwelcoming and ugly. The lighting is too stark for the custard-yellow walls. There is nothing intimate or cosy at all. There is a door at the back of the... More

Recently back as a family group of 10,and have been coming here on & off for 25 years and that says something about this place, chicken livers & monk fish are not on the menu any longer but still good steak and a variety of fish dishes, and starters, all plates went back clean I had a haddock dish very... I visited the Redbank for the first time recently as one in a party of 15 people. We were all treated excellently and the choice on the menu was fantastic. I had the mussels to start and a main of pork fillet. The food was exquisite. What's more the dessert trolley was a unique and impressive addition to the evening... More

I have eaten here several times. The food was initially acceptable. Today, sadly the quality has diminished. Avoid fish chowder, On my visit it consisted of a few lovely prawns, totally in-edible squid which could not be cut, let alone eaten. The chowder also contained a few very small mussels from which the centres could not be removed because they... More

It's the food that matters, of course, and I've always looked forward to my annual visit with friends and their families, because the Red Bank probably serves the best lobster in Ireland, or anywhere else for that matter. It used to have a great atmosphere, too, but as other reviewers have noted, the place itself is getting a bit shabby... More

Everything is wonderful here: the service, the food, and relaxed ambience. Very well prepared Lobster is on the menu, as well as an excellent thick Ribeye steak done just right. If you want to be pampered and eat delicious food, eat here. Do be prepared to view the dessert cart.

Was recently in the Redbank for dinner with my wife. Great food but the decor badly needs updating. The chairs and table are uneven and the carpet needs updating. The restaurant serves great food but the restaurant requires an urgent refurb.

I was at The Red Bank restaurant recently and was sorely disappointed. We had booked in advance but the staffing arrangements were atrocious. 2 floor staff to serve & clear an entire floor of tables resulted in our waiting 1 hour for a menu and a further 45 mins. to be served our starter. In the end I had to... More
