Unfortunately this lovely restaurant closed down. The economy has not been kind to good restaurants.

Lovely range of oriental (mainly Indian) food served in a cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

A bank holiday weekend, our daughter returning home, and a lovely walk around Red Island in Skerries was topped off by a meal in Shiva Indian Restaurant, in Skerries. Shiva is an intimate restaurant which offers both Indian and Mediteranian food. We opted for Indian. For staters we had Tandoori chicken, Breaded mushrooms, and a savoury potato dish. Mains were... Having only tried Shiva for take away food over 4 years ago, where I had a good experience but my husband found the food to be cold and the chips to be undercooked, we decided to give the take away another try. I have to say I really wish we hadn't. The take away cost 28euro. Which I thought for... More

I'm not a great fan of indian food but I've found some very tasty dishes here - I love lentils. The couple running the place I find most welcoming and for whatevever reason they now have a BYO option with a €5 corkage fee which reduces the cost of dining - very welcoming in the current economic climate. I'll be... More

Had looked forward to eating here but was ultimately disappointed by both the quality of service and the standard of the food. The restaurant was understaffed despite being less than half full and the dishes took a very long time to arrive. The flavour and the texture of the curries were inaccurate (although tasty, if you know your curries you... More

Went with 3 family members. We each ordered a diffferent dish. None of us was happy with the food. Not much meat in the sauce. Not the tastes we have come to expect from Indian cuisine

On a late night arriving into Skerries, we were starving and in search of food and a local B&B. As my wife and I walked the empty streets of Skerries, we spotted Shiva and proceeded to enter, 1) since my wife is fond of Indian food, and 2) it was the only place open that looked desireable. Once inside, we... More

We use Shiva on a regular basis. the food is always top class and we highly recommend the Saag Aloo. The Naan breads are delicious as is everything else. Mary is a lovely person and nothing is too much trouble. She is always very friendly and kind.. We have a guest house in Skerries and our guests have had great... More

The following is my opinion of this establishment. I had used this a number of times both in house and take away. It was quite good about 5 years ago but I have found that the consistancy of the food to be most variable since then. I recently bought a take away, a Lamb Chilli Masalla, a Chicken Shashlik, Saag...
