My wife and I were here last Thursday and were met at the door by a charming girl, we had a drink in the bar and then into the main restaurant, we had the wings(excellent) and the curry!!! Outstanding!!! The desert we shared and the bill I picked up!! Great value and top service... A lovely surprise

Third time at the Anvil , chicken wings the best around and T-bone steak to die for , I would really recommend it to people who appreciate good food .

Once again the Anvil has been a super experience. My family LOVE this place. On arrival we were greeted with a big friendly smile. For lunch I had the chicken bagel (delicious as always) and my partner had the famous chicken curry. I am stunned by the comment (by L M) below branding it in such a negative light. Delighted... I simply HAVE to put my thoughts on this site to complain about a takeaway which I have just received from the Anvil Restaurant, Saggart. I ordered the Chicken Curry from here about one year ago and it was average, but had the Asian flavour that I expected. I took away the same dish this evening and I have just... More

Excellent, good very helpful staff. The food is a bit posh for me but it is really good. The striploin steak is excellent. It's a bit expensive but then Dublin is very expensive.

We decided to take the five minute walk from the citywest hotel into saggart village and were glad to find such a lovely restaurant. We had three courses and had no complaints whatsoever. The interior is light spacious and airy, from the exterior this is not what you would expect. Staff were very attentive and friendly and were glad to... More

My boyfriend and I came here on a random Thursday night for a quiet dinner. Its a lovely small cute place and the food was really night. I think we did a 3 course meal for 30 euro . Chicken wings for starters ....So tangy and amazing. Black pudding with poached also for starters.....So different and tasty. We both got... More

We decided on the spur of the moment to visit the Anvil again and we are glad we did. It was around five o'clock so it was just starting to get busy for the evening. I choose, from the Tapas menu, fish cakes, spicy chicken wings and a selection of breads with dips, the wings were so tasty and the... More

A perfect place lunch or dinner. The service is efficient and friendly and the food fresh and tasty. I had the tuna salad which was divine. Highly recommend this place.
