Very nice business meal

Looked after us well. Nice meal, good wine, and nice service. I didnt see the bill as I wasnt paying, but the food was excellent, and no complaints at all.

Spent 5 days in Dalkey as it was the only place I could find reasonable accommodation close to Dublin but not in it. Best choice I ever made! Called into the Queens Pub/steakroom as it had outside seating and the weather was wonderful. Coming from a management position in hospitality in the centre of London we were instantly hooked on... I have visited this place as it was recommended by tourist guides. The experience couldn't have been worse. From the start, very bad attention from the waiters (ignorance at first, then lack of interest whatsoever). The food was overpriced in comparison to similar places in this town and quality was very low. Steak too chewy and served cold, total lack... More

Was grandly wisked to s reserved table by manager who was both grasious and professional. Then it went down hill. Waitress seems somewhat overwhelmed when taking our order. We had onion rings which were nice. Spicy chicken also very nice. Soup was stone cold and it took 39 minutes to get it replaced. We ordered pot of tea at same... More

We went here for drinks and were spoken to in a sarcastic manor by a member of staff. I brought in a chocolate bar to eat and a staff member looked at me as though I was the worst person in the world! They stared at the bar on the table- Very unprofessional and condescending.

Built in the late 1700s, the Queens is my favourite public house and restaurant in Dalkey with a lovely open air eating. The food and service is excellent. Dalkey is a very attractive town dating back to the middle ages when nearby Colimore Harbour was the port for Dublin city from the 1,400s to 1,600s. The castles on the main... More

Tonight we went to Dalkey after an exciting exibition in the Wicklows. Following TripAdvisors recommendations we entered the Queens. We had no regrets about it at all. Outstanding starters such as Fish chouders and fantastic rip eye steaks cooked to the right point. All that with a very friendly and professional service of a South American guy. Next Time we... Went with some friends and their young kids for midweek, midafternoon food and drinks. It's a good place for kids, plenty of space and staff are great with them. Had chicken wings which were good, but the crab claws and other seafood was really good. The back outdoor area is now enclosed, which also makes it handy for during the... More

We went to the Queen Steakroom because of a friend's recommendation. I can safely say that we had one of the best (if not the best) meals we had while visiting Ireland. We decided to go for lunch. I had the steak sandwich and it was fantastic. My wife, son and daughter all lived their lunches. If you ever visit... More
