Amazing evening meal in the Bistro at Jacksons. Food is really out of this world, they have talented chefs.
They have changed what was a great menu to one that is pretty hopeless! There are very limited choices and not very good ones at that. Very very disappointed with this. We observed people going in then leaving after seeing the menu. Others also seemed to save face like us have a starter and leave for another restaurant. On going... More
staff working were very pleasant, but not enough staff working. My meal was not cooked, my mothers meal was a 'congealed mess'. Desserts were good. I noticed meals from 2 other tables also being returned. Waitress dealt with my complaint very efficiently.
This restaurant used to be delicious. The last few times we went we had a lovely meal. (Have been a number of times, all over a year ago) But they must have different kitchen staff now, because this time it was awful. We ordered the same starter we normally get. It looked & tasted like a heated up frozen meal.... More
Poor quality food. 10oz Fillet steak advertised, but actual steak size received was considerably smaller than that. Although chips were home-made, my portion were undercooked, so I was biting through, greasy, raw potato.
The food was good, inexpensive and plenty of it. The bistro is obviously new. im always happy when you can see the kitchen. The staff were very friendlyu and efficient and its good to have water brought to your table without being asked.
I had the sirloin on the 1st night, I wanted to have it again but I had seen the lamb being served and it looked amazing. So on the 2nd night I had the lamb and boy was it good. On the 3rd night I had the fish which was so tasty and there was plenty of it. My 3... More
Went for rib eye and have only had better steak once before. Had to wait a while as was pretty busy though not too long. Very enjoyable meal.
Had a meal with my husband and children was absolutely best meal ever we had. The choice was wide and varied. We decided to have steak. ( the best steak ever....) Our children also wanted steak and the very helpful waitress suggested sharing 1 which was a great idea. The deserts were to die for black forest gateaux, cheesecake. Great... More
The food is fair but the service APPALLING. visited the bistro on a Sunday evening. It was getting quiet. We waited ages to get menus and longer to get our orders taken. Wait staff don't seem to be interested in customers at all, at one point there were 5 wait staff happily chatting together behind the glass display counter totally... More
