Cousins wedding

My cousin had her wedding here and they did an awesome job across the board. Great service, good charm, rooms need a little work.

My wife & I have just enoyed a beautiful meal at Ballymaloe. It was probably our 5th or 6th time to eat here and it was definitely the best yet - the food just keeps on improving. My wife is a vegetarian and she had a lovely meal with a Mimosa salad to start and goat's cheese followed by a... More

Have an annual treat over the festive season at Ballymaloe and highly recommend to anyone who is yet to experience same for a special occasion! Food is mouth-wateringly good and the festive menu of 7 courses is good value for €70 with plenty of choice and the quaint dessert trolley is a treat not to missed as you can sample... More

This was by far the best meal that I have ever eaten. From the second we entered Ballymaloe house we were treated like royalty. The staff are professional and clearly enjoy working here as they could not do enough for us. We had the 5 course dinner meal on a busy Saturday night. The choice for each course was very... More

I stayed here many years ago and I hope to repeat it at some stage when I can get availability ...but I had dinner here with some friends in November and I was delighted to see it is as wonderful as ever. The food was delicious all fresh products and the staff were so well trained ..we were very impressed... More

We had Sunday lunch here on the 21st December while on holiday. I booked with a few doubts because of the reviews but it was great. Our family of 6 included a very picky eater, three teenagers and a couple of foodies and everyone enjoyed it. We had most items on the menu between us but I'd give a special... More

We were there for lunch. €45 - so we expected it to be exceptional for that price. We were greatly disappointed with the food and the staff. The staff we expect to be friendly, knowledgeable and competent. When we ask for a description of a menu item we expect that they would know the ingredients and the cooking method. They... More

The food was fresh and delicious - chilled beetroot soup with dill, buttered Ballycotton lobster, Roast Goose with spiced red cabbage all made from local ingredients. The restaurant is very elegant and cosy and the staff all warm and friendly. Couldn't really ask for much more - would highly recommend!

The actual restaurant is in a beautiful old room in the main house which is tastefully and comfortably appointed with some eclectic touches one would expect. The service was friendly and helpful and the food outstanding. It was a set dinner menu with a few choices which certainly supported the fact that it was created to best present what was... More

Thank you for your comments and all your support in 2014 , the restaurant celebrated 50 years last year , many of our dishes are traditional and have been on our menu since it opened and still using the food from the gardens . Hazel More
