A real treat!

A group of us treated ourselves to Afternoon Tea here recently. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was an excellent selection of dainty savouries and sweet treats. As we were looking for a really nice place to eat in the Cavan area we chose St Kyrans mainly because of the good reviews the restaurant had and it didn't disappoint. We checked in about 4 o'clock to find the dining room very busy from presumably a late lunch sitting. We were shown to our beautifully appointed room (certainly... More

We visited this amazing restaurant en route to Ed Sheeran concert, for lunch. I have eaten here on a few occasions and the food and athmosphere have always been excellent, as was the case on this visit. Our table was overlooking the beautiful view of the lake. The food was beautifully presented and excellent value at €25 for a two... More

I recently visited St. Kyran's with my husband for afternoon tea and what an experience it was. Where do I start? A gorgeous setting overlooking Lough Ramor, charming and attentive service and then the Afternoon tea itself. Tasty sandwiches and scones and then the top tier, WOW. Dainty and delicious cakes and a mini chocolate tart to die for!!!!! This... More

Its like entering a friends house. With a leaving room and2 dining rooms. Our table was not ready so we were sited at the leaving room. They brought our drinks. Just before going to our table they brought us the menu and wine list in order to save time. We were sited at the small dining room with just 4... More

This is our third visit to this place. It is has been consistently exceptional in terms of taste and presentation. We have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in Ireland and we consider it one of the best. I would recommend it highly.

My wife and I had two excellent dinners at this truly lovely restaurant. Overall, they were the best meals and dining experiences on our two week tour of this lovely country. Our mains were the hake, beek cheek and salmon. (for myself it was the first time I had hake and it was perfect - light, moist, and tastey) For... More

My wife and I were so excited to have got a booking especially as we only rang a few hours earlier and it was Saturday night. I had been away on business for a week so this was to be a lovely treat. We were greeted by very pleasant staff and shown to probably the best table in the room... More
