Far more flavor than fat

I have to admit, the name is not too enticing but on a rainy night it was open and we went in. Southern food, as you'd expect, flavorful and varied, classic items but with a good hold on the sugar, salt and fat. Wonderful corn bread. I had the three sides, all good. My husband had the pulled pork... read more

I'm super hard to please when it comes to eating anywhere other than chain restaurants because it's just hard to find good food. This place however is the bomb! Everything I've ever had here is really good. It's very unassuming from the outside so you might be tempted to drive by. The inside is very laid back and casual. The... More

I absolutely love Big Fattys! I ate SO many bean burgers during my pregnancy and now that little Julia is here we still frequent our fave spot at least once a week. I love the variety of food. Best bean burger on the planet. And love all the homemade country sides. Staff has always been super nice and accommodating. Anyone... More

Food was excellent, service was great, it was mid afternoon when we went so the atmosphere was ok. I'm very pleased with my experience at Big Fattys, can't wait to go back and enjoy more fried cornbread.

Was disappointed after hearing so much about Big Fatty's southern cooked menu. We had a party of four on a Thursday evening for dinner. Was skeptical when we pulled up as no other cars were there. Entered and found we were the only ones present and no other customers came in during our time there. The food was just average... More

If you like generic food from a can served cold by an angry, obese, incredibly rude and offensive owner/manager with a foul mouth and worse attitude then this is the place for you! I paid 11 dollars for a grilled cheese sandwich that looked and tasted like it came from a high school cafeteria. There were roaches scurrying on the... More

Lisa is wonderful and her food is even better. The crab cakes are a must. Great for lunch or catering. Don't miss out on this gem!!!

Drug references in advertising a business is NOT OK---EVER. They even sell a t-shirt with the drug reference to Big Fattys. How disappointing. Way overpriced and rudeness of owner are turn-offs too. Spend the same money and eat at a up-scale restaurant that would never even think of referencing drugs to food.

I recently had lunch with coworkers at Big Fatty's, and while the barbeque sandwich was good, I wouldn't say it's anything to write home about---especially for the price. The sandwich was big, but it should be for the high price they charge. There's nothing special about the atmosphere, either. Also, with a name like "Big Fatty's," I wouldn't expect the... More

I've tried to like Big Fatty's. I've visited several times. The owner is a local celebrity and I don't mind her gruff character. But the food tends to be a disappointment. Our last visit was typical. My husband ordered fish and the portions were tiny. The fries were probably frozen. I had a vegetable plate and left hungry. The salad... More
