Two things that you must try here are the shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes. Really all of the food choices are good. I had them cater a wedding and everyone that came loved the food. Good solid unique restaurant.

The waitress was good at her job but she couldn't cook the food unfortunately. I ordered turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes. My food was lukewarm at best but the potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. My meal was terrible! Won't go back. Very disappointed in this restaurant.

I was so disappointed after paying almost $50 for an appetizer and 2 entrees. We got the spinach artichoke dip which was your average dip of its kind. It was hot so that was a plus. My partner got the turkey and dressing with a side of mashed potatoes and a small cup of cranberry sauce. The turkey and dressing... More

I do not like to tell people that they need to do their job better. It is not, after all, my job, but theirs. That aside, it is difficult when their job makes for a bad start to a place where I know I can get a really, I mean, really, good meal, it makes me wish I could have... More

Our first warning was at about 11:30AM on a Sunday the parking lot was nearly empty. But we were hungry and had eaten here before. So we ventured in. The food was stale and dried out. For the price we paid I had hoped for better, expected better and actually paid for better. Just for grins I decided to try... More

Give credit where credit's do! Great meal. You can tell it's freshly made. Chicken and grits??? Sounds yucky but don't let this combo fool ya. Not a big grits fan usually but with the italian sausage, gravy, and tender chicken the grits seem to fit just right. Sometimes I like to step outside the envelope. Sometimes I get burned but... My wife and I dined here for a Saturday lunch. Our waitress, Benton, provided great menu recommendations and super service - very attentive, but not intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp, sausage and grits dish with tasso gravy. I have eaten this dish several times throughout the south at a variety of venues. In my opinion Puelo's is the best!... More

We've been going to this restaurant off and on for many years now... My brother lives out west and always wants to eat here before he leaves. This is really the only time I eat there. I like their chicken piccata, however I opted for the shrimp and grits, since my brother always raves about it. I wasn't sure about... More

Puelo's is a chain in this area and was near our hotel, so we went. It has steak, seafood, sandwiches, some Italian-named items and other stuff. My wife had a dish ecumenically called "Insalata Caprese Salad." This was a special on its own menu card, and the reverse of the card informed you that you could opt for a side... More

Had a late dinner (~ 8 pm) here on Saturday, 6/14, while staying overnight at the nearby Hampton Inn and Suites. Only about 4 tables of people at the time. Restaurant was very clean and even had a bar area. Wife and daughter's friend both had the Nona's lasagna, which was a large serving. Both really like it. My daughter... More
