love the view at Calhoun's on the river. The food and service are great as well. We have visited two times and both times had great food and service.

Good food and beer right on the river. Our waitress gave us a sampler of the microbrews when we could not decide on one to order. They were all good!

Although food was good, I can only say it was a little above average. Not best BBQ I've had but it was good. Beans were terrible (were more like chili than beans) but everything else was ok. The scenery was great, especially because it was right on the Tennessee River.

This was our first stop in Knoxville. We sat on the patio for the view and the breeze, which was great. Our group had a variety of burgers, BBQ and kids meals. The food was hot, and flavorful. The pulled pork was good, but a little dry.

Another great visit to Calhoun's. The ribs are excellent, the sides are delicious, service was friendly and we got a window table to look at the river, which we all enjoyed. Great BBQ.

The setting was really nice...had a table outside on the river, but overall this was just okay. The food was nothing special...burger, chicken sandwich, salad. We were still eating at 10:15p, and they turned off all the torches and the music. They then started spraying down the deck with the hose while we were sitting on it Eeesh...anyway, really disappointed.... More

I cannot visit Knoxville without visiting Calhoun's on the River! We ate there this afternoon, and, as always, the food was perfect. I had the "Ale" Calhoun, and it was perfectly cooked and perfectly flavored. Their corn pudding and fried apples were absolutely divine. My husband enjoyed their pulled pork and spinach maria, and he loved it. I love the... More

The good ole boys seem to like to go here, but it is best avoided as you will pay too much and not even be appreciated for having patronized them. Locals DO go here as there is little else form which to choose. If you like predictable, a local will recommend it, but Downtown Grill and Brewery will beat it... More

Calhoun's is a local favorite, part of the family of Copper Cellar restaurant's, and my particular favorite. There are so many bonuses to going to Calhoun's on the River. Even if you just go there to eat dinner, you can enjoy the view of the river activity. You can also eat outside, which has it's own "Deck Menu" but, everyone... More

This is a popular spot for Tennessee Volunteer fans and it is a great spot for a summer meal. With the soothing river going by, the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant compliments each other. The pulled pork sandwich is a great value and is delicious. More than I could eat in one sitting! Their signature sauce is very... More
