Lots of places say they've got Maryland crab cakes on the menu, but they don't. Too much binder, too much breading, not enough pure crab. Not Chesapeake's! They are so full of lump crabmeat they barely hold together. And the crab bisque is delicious too. Service was efficient and prompt, especially considering the Saturday night crowd. Sides include very tasty... More

Short and sweet. Great setting, great food, great service, great downtown location. The steak was cooked perfectly and seems they know how to make bloody Marys to. Will always visit when in Knoxville.

Well known and respected resturant used over and over by locals. Crab cakes always a good choice. Quality is consistent.

We eat here probably every other month and have yet to have a bad meal or negative experience. We usually ask for John Michael to be our server and we really like the care he gives us, but all the servers are good. They serve an awesome assortment of different breads to get you started, and for appetizer we prefer... More

What a gem this place was. We had prompt, courteous staff who delivered amazing service with amazing food. The grouper I had was fresh as were the steamed muscles. I only regret I had was I didn't have the stomach capability to eat more. Succulent food that was fresh and done well.

Started with one of the restaurants craft beers. I understand that the owners operate several restaurants in the area and a brewery that supplies the selections. Had a brown ale that was ordinary, but fine. calamari appetizers were ok. Dad had the oysters and they were good. Salads were fine, but the best were the main courses. The broiled seafood... More

Been by this place a million times but never went in. Wow, was I mistaken. This place is a hidden jewel in downtown Knoxville. So much bigger inside than it appears. Great bar with a great lady barkeep that could make one heck of a gin and tonic for my wife and poured a neat scotch for myself. We had... More

The blackened scallops are one of my favorite entrées at this wonderful restaurant. Everything I have ever ordered at Chesapeake's has been fantastic. The service and atmosphere are reminiscent of Florida seafood restaurants from my childhood. This establishment is a superb choice for a special birthday, anniversary, reunion with friends or to bring family/friends from out of town. It's unusual... More

Stopped in for lunch during a trip from Atlanta to Lexington. My spouse had the Fried Seafood Platter and I had the Fresh Crab Cakes. We were both delighted with our food. The waitress was especially helpful with my side choice so I didn't end up with a ton of coleslaw! Great food, great service - I want to go... More
