This week two colleagues from work and myself were in Knoxville on business. We all enjoyed Chesapeake's and comment on the way out the door how surprising it was to find such good seafood in Knoxville. The young lady that waited on us was experienced and first class. She told us she had worked at this restaurant for eight years.... More

For a seafood house in a major metropolitan city in a landlocked state, Cheaspeake's leave much to be desired. Our server was polite and attentive, but it did not make up for the overpriced mediocre food we were served. $11 for a half dozen order of oysters on the half-shell that weren't properly cleaned. Every oyster came with black soot... More

If you want to be assured of perfect service, delicious food, in an atmosphere in which you can actually carry on a conversation, this is the place for you. Most of the employees are long-term. They are career servers and act like it. Very professional at all times - they pay attention to the customer, instead of simply slinging food.... More

came here 3 times within several months time. Checking the times before leaving the house and they should have been open for several hours already and the doors are locked. even the hours posted on the door said they should be open. One time someone walked out and said none of the kitchen staff showed up again. AGAIN. I'm not... More

Lots of places say they've got Maryland crab cakes on the menu, but they don't. Too much binder, too much breading, not enough pure crab. Not Chesapeake's! They are so full of lump crabmeat they barely hold together. And the crab bisque is delicious too. Service was efficient and prompt, especially considering the Saturday night crowd. Sides include very tasty... More

Short and sweet. Great setting, great food, great service, great downtown location. The steak was cooked perfectly and seems they know how to make bloody Marys to. Will always visit when in Knoxville.

Well known and respected resturant used over and over by locals. Crab cakes always a good choice. Quality is consistent.

We eat here probably every other month and have yet to have a bad meal or negative experience. We usually ask for John Michael to be our server and we really like the care he gives us, but all the servers are good. They serve an awesome assortment of different breads to get you started, and for appetizer we prefer... More
