Description: We believe less processed food tastes better. Not only does it taste...
We believe less processed food tastes better. Not only does it taste better, it's much healthier too. You'll notice this difference in our house made dressings and handcrafted pizzas, as well as in our colorful salads and sandwiches. Fresh produce from East Tennessee farmers like Hines Valley Farm, Mountain Meadows Farm and Colvin Family Farm is featured in our daily specials. Well known for our vegan and vegetarian dishes, our menu has plenty for the carnivore. All of our proteins are nitrate/nitrite free, all natural and antibiotic free. Our house made lamb sausage is cooked in small batches to ensure freshness. Our sister bakery, Flour Head Bakery, prepares all of the Tomato Head's desserts and breads (including gluten free!) Each morning. By using unbleached and unbromated King Arthur Flour, we create healthier and better tasting pizza dough and sandwich breads. We also can easily accommodate your dietary needs. Whether it's a nut allergy, a preference for vegan fare or a gluten sensitivity, our staff will craft a dish to suit your tastes.

Delicious food! Service was a smidge slow

I think we were in downtown Knoxville, but free/easy parking at the Market Square lot on weekends, and the strip where it was located was a really fun place to be. Nice atmosphere, but casual which was a good thing since the kids were in Nike shorts and tank tops after their swim meet and didn't... read more

No frills, just good clean food. Very efficient wait staff. A bit funky. Enjoy the doubled space much needed. A vegetarian's delight.

Went with a party of 8 on a Friday at 5:30 - seated right away. Molly was our outstanding server! Loved the pasta salad appetizer, veggie quesadilla WITH PINEAPPLE! and the pizzas. Definitely great for kids, then walk around market square and enjoy street performers and the great architecture.

Love the Spinach Salad. The concept is fresh, the food and experience always consistently good. Freshest ingredients and love that they make their own breads.

The Tomato Head has come a long way. They used to be in a cramped, dark space with servers tripping over each other. The service is so much better now, the menu has expanded, PLUS they now have a larger space with a nice entrance and bar and NEW restrooms, and pretty windows along the front and side. Tons of... A recent road trip took us through Knoxville just around lunchtime. Since we'd never been to the city before, we wanted to see what it was like downtown. Tomato Head was the perfect spot for us to enjoy a delicious, high-quality lunch while being able to get a feel for Knoxville because the restaurant is located right on Market Square.... More

I like the atmosphere of this place. I had a calzone with lamb sausage that was very tasty and I would like to come back another time to try some of the other things this restaurant has to offer

My husband and I ate here for dinner because it was highly recommended by a friend. The wait staff were prompt and courteous. The pizza was good.
