Description: We believe less processed food tastes better. Not only does it taste better, it's much healthier too. You'll notice this difference in our house made dressings and handcrafted pizzas, as well as in our colorful salads and sandwiches. Fresh produce from East Tennessee farmers like Hines Valley Farm, Mountain Meadows Farm and Colvin Family Farm is featured in our daily specials. Well known for our vegan and vegetarian dishes, our menu has plenty for the carnivore. All of our proteins are nitrate/nitrite free, all natural and antibiotic free. Our house made lamb sausage is cooked in small batches to ensure freshness. Our sister bakery, Flour Head Bakery, prepares all of the Tomato Head's desserts and breads (including gluten free!) Each morning. By using unbleached and unbromated King Arthur Flour, we create healthier and better tasting pizza dough and sandwich breads. We also can easily accommodate your dietary needs. Whether it's a nut allergy, a preference for vegan fare or a gluten sensitivity, our staff will craft a dish to suit your tastes.

I was in Knoxville TN for a business trip and was recommended this place by hotel staff. Stopped by there for lunch...place was getting busy around 12.30. I had the lentil soup( most delish, fresh and flavorful) , vege sandwich ( grilled tofu, pesto sauce, and the works) , humus with pita ( best humus I ever tasted). Service was... More

This is a true vegetarian/vegan restaurant and locally-owned. They use fresh local ingredients and make items from scratch. The prices are reasonable and there are two locations in Knoxville. One is on Market Square, the other near West Town Mall. Their pizza is my favorite here.

Tomato Head is a Knoxville Oasis of fresh food for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. They have wonderful pizzas, incredible salads and yummy sandwiches. I like to get their special bowls. I find myself eating vegan here even though I'm a meat eater- the combinations of flavors is that good. Anytime a foodie from a big city is visiting us,... More

This place is the bomb. You can't go wrong. I would recommend the calzones and pizzas. They are baked perfectly every time.

We had a great experience here! We're locals who frequent Market Square rather frequently put this past time we had a bad situation turned into a great one by our waitress Celina!! My girlfriend had ordered the delicious pizza rolls and was so disappointed when they arrived burnt! But Ms. Celina was there to save the day! Even though we... More

The food here is good. I've been to places that are better, but the what makes this place different is the good selection of vegetarian and local foods. Definitely worth checkins out.

Tomato Head is one of my favorite restaurants in Knoxville. The restaurant is locally owned; with one restaurant downtown and one in Bearden, a suburb of Knoxville. You can't go wrong with the PoBoy or pizza! All of the ingredients are fresh, organic, and mostly healthy. Everything is delicious!

Huge fan of their brunch - they have Benton's Bacon which is a must try. Lunch and dinner is ok - their menu is ... off the beaten path. It's delicious, just a little weird. Great vegetarian options

This is my favorite place to eat. LOVE everything I have ever tried here! My top 3 favorite things to eat are the Lucy (sanwhich) and the spinach and bacon salad. If you order a sanwhich make sure to get a large it's not that big and. Small isn't enough. They also have a good variety of craft beer choices!

I had a cheese Quesadilla with a small amount of black beans on the side. Everything was delicious. I did not try any dessert even though there were many good looking options.
