Had a wonderful steak dinner with a great friend. Atmosphere was enjoyable. The service was good, would not be my first place to choose next time.

great lunch options and bear muffins. Not the best ribs in the area but tasty. Nice atmosphere with a pleasant and friendly staff.

Reservations were made for Saturday evening but turns out they weren't needed. Not busy at all. We had great service but dry, poor quality ribs, pulled pork that was dry, but chicken tenders and grilled chicken breasts were done properly. The sides were great. Excellent spinach maria, corn pudding and mac & cheese. The loaded potato skins were also great... More

We wanted to like this restaurant as it is local. Admittedly, we are not chain food people, so this was a bad choice for us, but we were hungry and tired. Food was super friend and my salmon was so bad the manager comped my meal. (It smelled bad when it came to the table and was very dried out.)... More

We have been here many times, but we may have had our last visit. The beer has never been great but the service has always been good. Tonight we had to ask to get a side dish delivered. Same with the bread. And that was after flagging down the server. The server never checked back with us and, without asking... More

We passed this restaurant after our flight was 3 hours late and pulled in for dinner. When we saw that it was only 20 minutes until closing time, we started to walk away when someone poked their head out of the door and invited us to come in. The waiter was great. He suggested a great local beer from the... More

We were disappointed in the barbeque served at this Calhoun's location. Lots of pork but a mild, tastless sauce made the dish not very good. Lots of better places for barbeque in Knoxville. Service was very good.

I've been to four Calhoun's restaurants and while they're all excellent, I prefer the original one with the silo on Kingston Pile next to Pellissippi Parkway. In fact, I worked there as a server back when I was in college in the 1980s. The food is great. They won best ribs in America two straight years (awhile ago) for a... More

We came to Calhoun's on a recommendation. Our friend had said make sure to get the spinach maria. When we got our menus & I started looking for bbq beef there was none. Nope. I understand I'm in the South & pork is the big deal, but not everyone eats pork. I wasn't in the mood for chicken & with... More

From my experience, if you want Calhoun's, just don't go to the Kingston Pike location. Calhoun's food is amazing generally but my last visit was to this location and it was terrible. When you pay for prime rib you want it to be good. It wasn't though, it wasn't even hot. My grandmothers BBQ ribs were so burnt that the... More
