Greek salad - awesome, spanakopita - so good have to have it again. Reuben's with meet and with veggie burger - yummy! #1 in Tennessee :) Worth the 1 1/2 hour drive.

Never heard of this restaurant, was in the area for the first time on business, but will definitely return. Walter, the owner was positively adorable. The hospitality alone would make anyone want to come back. He introduced me to a food I never heard of except the Gyros. Hand made fresh Humus and an array of salads...I couldn't sample them... More

I was introduced to The Holy Land by one of my customers, after living in Knoxville for about a year. I had never heard of it before that, but I have been back many times. The owners are always friendly, and the food is always good. Somethings are better than others though. Not a big fan of their gyros, but... More

One of my best dining experiences in Knoxville! Holy Land offers an ample menu of authentic middle eastern food...along with some classics...like their incredibly insane looking Ruben sandwich. Their market also has a wonderful selection of yogurts, cheeses, teas, coffees, sweets, etc. When asking about a specific cheese, the owner (Walter) promptly prepared a sample for us...telling us, "You are... Fabulous Mediterranean cuisine, great market, bulk foods, take-out deli, even clothing. It was well worth seeking out in our drive from Canada down south, bypassing Knoxville.

The owner of this restaurant will make you feel at home and provide you with a lot of details about the menu items. The falafels and grape leaves were outstanding. The only reason I did not give this review an "excellent" rating is because I was disappointed that the gyros were made from the pressed lamb/beef strips. I was hoping... More

I went somewhat reluctantly with friends who wanted to eat here, but I was very pleased with the wide choices of food and the sandwich (turkey club) that I ordered. The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly.

Don't let the title "market" scare you off this treasure. We love Middle Eastern food and found this to measure up to our expectations. If I lived in Knoxville, I would be here every week. Very reasonable priced, very friendly and VERY tasty. Note that it is closed on Sunday - everyone needs a rest.

My wife and I visited Holy Land Market today while visiting Knoxville for the week. We both had the Mashi (squash stuffed with lamb and rice) which was one of the specials of the day. The food was impeccable as was the staff. The owner introduced himself immediately and made us feel very welcome. He made a effort to visit... More

Was disappointed and had planned to eat here while we were in town Sunday. If TA makes me give a rating to post this I'm going to give it an average. Since we couldn't experience the food. Nothing negative just wish we'd known.
