Don't let the title "market" scare you off this treasure. We love Middle Eastern food and found this to measure up to our expectations. If I lived in Knoxville, I would be here every week. Very reasonable priced, very friendly and VERY tasty. Note that it is closed on Sunday - everyone needs a rest.

My wife and I visited Holy Land Market today while visiting Knoxville for the week. We both had the Mashi (squash stuffed with lamb and rice) which was one of the specials of the day. The food was impeccable as was the staff. The owner introduced himself immediately and made us feel very welcome. He made a effort to visit... More

Was disappointed and had planned to eat here while we were in town Sunday. If TA makes me give a rating to post this I'm going to give it an average. Since we couldn't experience the food. Nothing negative just wish we'd known.

I love Mediterranean food and have tried it across the US, so when I saw such great reviews on Holy Land Market I had to try it. Well I was very disappointed first with the service and then with the food. We came here on a Friday afternoon and ordered from the deli counter sandwiches and salads to go. We... More

The best part about our experience were the people that run the place. They were super nice and we really enjoyed talking to them. Unfortunately my kids did not like their food - and I was a bit taken aback by paying $8.99 for a pita that did not even come with chips. We paid $49 for 4 of us... More

This was our first trip to Knoxville visited Holy Land Market because of the I number one rating. It did not disappoint. Absolutely fantastic pastrami sandwich. The deli salads are fresh and tasty. The sun dried tomato hummus is over the top! Walter was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Don't miss this very special place!

My boyfriend and I live 3 blocks from here and have never gone; big loss on our part!! The food was so good that I went back for dinner there in the same day we had lunch there. The restaurant is clean, service is friendly, and prices are very reasonable!! I will go back again and again!

If you love middle eastern food or you've never even tried it you'll will be glad you ate here. Walter and Denise are warm and welcoming people. They will help you decide what you'd like if you need the help. The food is DELICIOUS! I've never had anything there I didn't like. TRY IT - YOU'LL LIKE IT!

Holy Land's restaurant section started out very small, in a corner of their middle eastern grocery store, but it is now a full-fledged eatery, but still surrounded by a working grocery so that one feels as I imagine he might in a similar establishment in the actual Holy Land. But this is much handier for Knoxvillians. Walter and Denise and... More

From the moment we walked into the restaurant until we left it was like visiting old friends. Walter and Denise (the owners) are very friendly ex New Yorkers from Long Island. The food was very good and plentiful. The price was very reasonable. If I lived in Knoxville ever in the next few lifetimes I would return to the Holy... More
