We were stuck in Knoxville last January on our trip south due to the Atlanta ice storm. Saw that Holy Land was the #1 place in Knoxville and wanted to give it a try. When you walk in, you will be taken aback since it is half store and half restaurant with canned goods and items on sale around the... More

I was in town and had read the reviews and thought I would give them a try. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki, it was very good and authentic tasting as I have eaten in Athens. The lady at the counter was not very friendly. The gentleman that was there was.

My husband & I were looking for somewhere "different" to go for date night & we found this place through Trip Advisor. We were so thrilled that such an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant is in Knoxville. This is a true mom & pop joint run by a husband & wife team. They serve lunch & dinner and they offer a... More

Great change of pace from the usual american fare type restaurants. Moving from the northeast to Knoxville I was super excited and very pleased to have access to middle eastern and Mediterranean foods.

Walter's effusive friendliness is contagious. It is hard to not enjoy yourself here. Solid middle eastern food (Palestine/Syria/Lebanon) with an ever changing selection of hummus, all made in house, supplemented by N.Y. style sandwiches and daily specials. The atmosphere is provided by the owners. Perhaps a bit pricey, but you get freshly made quality.

My wife and I went yesterday to have a early Valentine/birthday dinner. When we walked in they were placing Valentine table clothes and candles on the tables with smiles. The first thing we noticed was that it is not just the food that is good but the true atmosphere is the people that work there. That extra some thing is... More

My wife and I have gotten to know the owners Walter and his wife over the last 3 or 4 months. They are wonderful people, very hard working, gracious and have the best food in town by far, no question! Trust me, we eat out quite a bit and have been to just about every restaurant in Knoxville, some are... More

You don't come here for ambience- but for the service and the food! They treat you like family here. The hummus is so good - and so many flavors. The falafel is great.

Everything we tasted -- salads, humus, stuffed squash, the kanafe were soo good. The owners are friendly and helpful. A fun place to visit.
