Nice atmosphere

Dined here with eight colleagues, I'm from out of town. Nice atmosphere, high ceilings, warm fireplace. Bar area on the small side. Very friendly staff. Food was very good, appetizers of oysters and Brussels sprouts. I had the filet, very good. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the... read more

Visit here regularly for dinner but never for brunch. Worst brunch food I've had in Knoxville. Eggs benedict was very cold, twice, for two different people at the table, as both sent it back. Eggs freezing without runny yolk. Ham cold (as in pulled out of the fridge) and dry. Will not be back for food. Atmosphere nice, service good,... More

My wife's company (all eight of us) had our annual Christmas dinner there. The food and atmosphere were excellent. All us us but one had the grouper. The other one had the steak. The food was well prepared and served. Excellent mid level wine selection as well. Parking is limited and tight but overall access is good. We had a... More

The bar area at the Grill at Highlands Row is one of Knoxville's hidden treasures. There is an extensive wine list and a great vibe with hardworking bartenders and wait staff. The food is delicious and there is a separate bar bites menu or you can order off the regular menu. The dining room is also good, and very separate... More

One of Knoxville's best. Located in a restored roadhouse and Prohibition era speakeasy, interesting New Southern interpretations make up the diverse menu. Gracious service, craft cocktails, and a small but well chosen wine list round out the offerings. Highly recommended.

I made a reservation for 20 people week in adavance. At that time they told me they would be crowded but could accomadate us. They had a half price special menu with just a few items to select on it. They ran out of many of the items after we ordered. The owner said he wold not give us other... More

I did not go to Knoxville expecting to find really fine dining, but I did. The Grill at Highlands Row puts out a wonderful meal. I started with the seared pork belly with blue cheese grit cake and jalapeños. It was a wonderful melange of flavors, with none overpowering the others. Several of us sampled the dish, and all wished... More

We were traveling to Knoxville to attend a production at the University of Tennessee's Clarence Brown Theater. We found the "Grill..." on TA and based on a good rating and the proximity to the venue, decided to give it a try. We booked it on OpenTable for noon and upon arrival found a full parking lot and a restaurant 90%... More

Our first experience with this restaurant left us questioning the sanitation standards at this restaurant. We returned to the restaurant in an attempt to have a good experience after talking with the restaurant manager. Unfortunately, our second experience and our last left us without a doubt not to eat at this restaurant. The owner took no steps to correct the... More
