A great place for intimate dinners

This is a great little restaurant. My wife and I discovered in on a recent trip through Knoxville. We had fried green tomatoes, Highlands Hot Chicken, and Key Lime pie for dessert. Our first experience with this restaurant left us questioning the sanitation standards at this restaurant. We returned to the restaurant in an attempt to have a good experience after talking with the restaurant manager. Unfortunately, our second experience and our last left us without a doubt not to eat at this restaurant. The owner took no steps to correct the... More

I love this place for unique, farm to table, quality food, great service, in an rustically elegant atmosphere. Although our waitress was a little eager (we felt a little rushed at first), the meal was very enjoyable. The bread was hot and yummy, the Shiraz wine was perfect complement to our meal, and just an overall great place.

We have been twice and both times the meals were fabulous! I just never think to go there. We went with another couple in the food industry and they were very impressed. The building was pretty with nice table settings.

We went here for a special dinner while I was visiting Knoxville. We were attracted to this venue because they served grass fed beef. I ordered the braided beef ribs and they were delicious served over a bed of risotto spatzale which was spectacular. The setting was nice and open and airy, recently refurbished. I truly enjoyed the experience however... More

My meal of the Blue Crab Cakes was delicious beyond delicious, especially the smoky tomato relish and the creamy remoulade that accompanied the cakes. I liked the crispy okra side that was served with my meal, as well. I enjoyed the glass of red wine I ordered, also, enough that I wish I could remember the name of it. The... More

My wife had been to GHR a few times, and tonight she suggested we give it a try together. And it couldn't have gotten off to a worse start. We showed up for the 7:15 reservation we made online, and we were immediately shown to our table. We chose to be seated outside, where there were two other parties already... More

The Grill at Highlands Row is one of Knoxville's few true fine dining experiences. Most of the restaurants that qualify as fine dining in Knoxville are old and look it and feel it. The Grill offers a beautiful setting with old world charm. The raw products used are high quality and what they turn it into is magnificent. We haven't... More

We had the opportunity to have dinner with friends on a recent Saturday night. Having eaten here on several other occasions we were expecting the typical outstanding meal. Three of the meals were just that...the fourth which also happen to be the priciest was way below average. It was the bone-in prime rib and it was thin and full of... More
