Dead End is a local favorite for BBQ and a twist on the standard sides. Tucked away off Kingston Pike in the Bearden Area, it's a quaint little place with a big atmosphere. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorite is the Grilled Beef and Cheddar. If you're a fan, try the fried okra as... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend but I was disappointed. I went there for a warm evening meal, hoping to find the southern welcoming and food. We hadn't booked a table: the waiter seemed hesitant and asked one time too many if we were sure we wanted to wait (we were, and said it clearly!). We were seated in... More

First off, prepare to sit - this ain't no take-out fast food joint. It's actually nicely furnished inside, with sports memorabilia and big-screen TVs. The wait staff was very friendly and thoughtful. Thank you Haley & Co. The Dead End Mac Attack (pulled pork bbq with mac&cheese) was recommended and acquired -- and heartily consumed! It was on huge Texas-toast... More

Very hungry after a day of riding! Husband saw the place on ESPN last week! We went in and asked to watch the florida vs florida state game and they accommodated quickly! Very attentive, great food= bbq nachos!!!, and management stopped by to ensure satisfaction! Thank you for providing a great experience!!!

The Mac & Cheese Pork BBQ sandwich was really good. The Pork nachos were excellent, but the Chicken nachos were a little bland. Fun atmosphere & good service. We will definitely be back.

I visit Dead End every time I am in Knoxville. It is consistently delicious and a perfect place to watch the game. It's an excellent place to go before/after games and they have a good food and beer selection. The parking situation isn't great, but it's totally worth it to eat here. The seating outdoors has fans or heaters to... More

My husband and I have been here 3 times in the past year. It is a must stop when driving through Knoxville. We used to eat at Calhoun's but it seems to have gone downhill. We split the nachos for two (huge portion) and then split a BBQ platter. The mac and cheese is my favorite around.

The only thing BBQ like at this restaurant is the sauce. We had several different selections of meat from pulled pork, brisket and sausage. None of which were good. Brisket and pork were dry and the sausage tasted like it was from Kroger.

This place you have many choices of great food, bring your appetite. Ribs and burgers are awesome. If you leave here hungry there is something wrong.

The pulled pork was excellent. Portion was generous. Tried with the hot sauce and it proved to be just what I wanted as I enjoy spicy hot. Washed it all down with a couple of local brews which made the dinner even more pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant for some really tasty BBQ in the Knoxville area. Bon Appetite!
