Crown & Goose is really expensive. It's too expensive for me to have had the experience I had there. We met dear friends and were difficult customers from the very beginning. I do feel badly for our waitress, except that there really weren't many people in the restaurant, so it isn't as if we kept paying customers from being able... More

Here is Knoxville's take on an English pub. Bring coin of the realm. Prices are rather high for the amount of food, although the food is heavy, so that is some compensation. I had Cornish hen (1/2 of hen), which didn't taste much of poultry and was strangely astringent, with a dark, bitter sauce. It's over (very) cooked kale, with... More

We had a great lunch at The Crown and Goose. We were seated and served right away. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious!

I met friends at the Crown and Goose for an evening meal. Everyone ordered fish and chips. It was the special of the evening: half price. I should have been suspicious. Might the restaurant be getting rid of out-of-date fish by offering it for a reduced price? This, indeed, proved to be the case. The fish tasted heavily of ammonia,... More

Beautifully apportioned hotel. In a great location. Staff is very friendly knowledgeable and helpful by sharing your experiences, Rooms are "rock star" quality. AC unit is a little loud, so if you watch TV, your TV will be loud just so that you can hear it. I love this hotel, it was truly a dream. You will love the bathrooms... More

Title says if all. At one time, this restaurant was a true gastro pub. Now it is a mediocre bar. The venue hasn't change, but like all Knoxville restaurants, over time, it has become crap. Blah! Management has lost any commitment to excellence. Go here because there's nothing better in town, but don't expect much.

Great atmosphere, good food although the menu may be limited for some. Beautiful decor and bar. Live music.

I liked the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. The service was faultless. The food was great and I even had a choice of British draft beers! There was a band playing in the room adjacent but it did not drown out our conversation and the band was very good. This is defo worth a visit if you are... More
