I ate here because it was next door to the Colonial Inn, I didn't want to drive, and because I could get a glass of wine. Late on a Friday night it wasn't busy and I was immediately seated. My server showed up quickly to take my drink order (the house Chianti was pretty good). My chicken parm was a... More

Weeds in asphalt parking lot should have been the first warning. Inside was dirty, ants in the cheese shaker. Understaffed, one server, who was also seater. Ordered fettucine-$10.99 with no sides, no salad, nothing! Very greasy. Garlic bread was obviously frozen and heated.

Tuesdays, the Crazy Tomato has calzones for $1.00 off. If you haven't had one, plan to go there next Tuesday. Their steak sub is also a must try. It's not your ordinary sub! It looks more like a pizza. I haven't tried the salads, but I've seen them and they look amazing, too.

We actually ate pizza on 2 nights of our 3 night stay in the area. Food was great and price can't be beat

Do not let the looks discourage you. The outside is basic and the inside is fairly drab. Older and dark but everything looked clean. The food was excellent. We had chicken parmesan. Two nice pieces and the cheese and sauce were great. Nice breading on chicken. Son had spaghetti and meatballs. Some of the best meatballs we have ever had.... More

I ate at the Crazy Tomato in Johnson City one time with my daughter and it was so busy with college and high school kids that I wasn't able to enjoy my food. For years I assumed the one in Kingsport was the same. A friend invited me to go to the Kingsport location and I was amazed at the... More

I was driving through here on a road trip. I generally try to avoid fast food restaurants, so I tend to end up in a lot of odd places during my travels. I was entirely expecting the food to be mediocre at best, but I was completely wrong. After we sat down we were brought some garlicey oily bread. It... More

We stopped at this restaurant at the suggestion of our hotel. Driving up, it didn't look like much, but it is nicely decorated on the inside. The provided free bread is quite tasty and was welcome after a long day on the road! I had the spaghetti and meatballs, and I found it to be one of the best spaghetti... More

Stopped in for lunch after not finding anything particularly quaint or intriguing in the area. The service was attentive, the garlic bread took the edge off the wait, then the food was delivered quickly and turned out to be very good - pepperoni pizza and spinach calzone and a kids' fettucini alfredo. Half is on the way home with us... More

This place is a real catch! The atmosphere is great; it is small but very classy and relaxed. The food was excellent. It is accommodated with bread beforehand. The chicken Parmesan couldn't have been better. Highly recommended!
