Enjoyed a post-Storytelling Festival dinner here on Sunday night. A good meal, so-so service (my party of 5 were the only patrons).

My son and I stopped in to get some takeout food for the weekend. There were no other customers in the restaurant and the employees were goofing around using profanity and playing on the piano. I had to listen to them full around on that piano the entire 30 minutes I waited for my food it was like torture. The... More

The crab rangoon is to die for and the lo mein is the best in town. The staff is just fantastic and always so friendly and fun. Make sure to get a bowl of the won ton or egg drop soup. It's always great!! Love this place!!!

I've been twice with a bad experience both times. Last visit I ordered the chicken with black bean sauce. I ordered it "extremely spicy...make it hot as possible". People there was no spice whatsoever. The entree had at most 2-3 oz of chicken with no peppers, no vegetables, but lots of goo. The chicken that I had was swimming in... More

I love the Plum Tree. It's been in business for a long time and their food is always good. It takes a while to get your food, so in my mind that tells me that they actually make it fresh. We love their egg drop soup. Everything I've tried over the years has been great, but I tend to lean... More

If you are looking for some great Chinese food, stop in at the Plum Tree in Kingsport. We stopped for a quick lunch and were very pleased with the service and the great food. Will be stopping there again when we are in the area. The place is a little hard to find, as it is tucked away behind a... More

Great food, great friendly staff! It has a great atmosphere with a small pond and bridge inside the restaurant. They have a good variety of daily lunch specials. I highly recommend a trip here if you like good Chinese food.

We are from out of town and came here with family in Kingsport. On first impression, the restaurant looks clean and is very pretty with a small pond and bridge with trees in the center of the dining room. Our server was extremely polite and attentive. When our food arrived, it was very hot and fresh and looked delicious. The... More

Incredible food, great service, and the best Crab Rangoon in the Tri Cities! Highly recommend!! We eat here as often as we can. Always consistently excellent food. This is not a buffet, but the menu is excellent and an order can be easily split.

Nestled snugly behind Hardees in Colonial Heights is the Plum Tree. This is not a buffet style restaurant but the menu is out of this world. Two people could easily split one dish and they have the best crab Rangoon in the area! A must have and this a great place for a dinner date. My wife and I frequent... More
