Was driving thru and thought I would try the Purple Cow. Stopped and got a steak bomb and fries. The fries were good and the sub was ok. I would rate it higher if the bread had been better. The meat had been good. If I ever have the chance I would try them again but get something that didn't... More

I have only been here a couple of times, and just can't understand why this place is SO popular. The food is mediocre (with the exception being their milkshakes, which are amazing and come in every flavor imaginable), and the line is usually backed out into the road. The menu is enormous and you can't read it until you actually... More

So sorry to hear that, we try so hard to make everything right and we only use the best quality of food. It is hard to train people to have the love and passion of food like we do. We keep everything clean and sanatize and all of our employees wear clean uniforms and hats and keep their hair pulled... More

Cheap - Cheap- Cheap- dont expect a quality burger but you wont be paying for quality either, you get what you pay foy. the lines should not be in the street and if you are pressured for time - dont bother getting in line. i would rather go to burger king.

Amazing prices and yummy food! My husband and I travel to the Kingsport area every year and eat here everytime. We have ordered many different things on the menu including pulled pork, fried green tomatoes, chicken bomb, burgers, cookies, ice cream & Cheesecake factory cheesecake in many flavors. YUM, YUM, YUM!!

I come up from Florida Twice a year to visit family. Every time I have to make a trip to the cow. Almost always a line out to the street. That in itself has to say something.

Everything on the menu is good from the salads to the burgers. It is comfort food though so don't expect Emeril Lagasse. I had a chef salad for the first time and it was fresh and very good. I wish they had a better location as it is difficult to get in and out on busy 11-w. I also wish... More

Fast food combined with Comfort food. My question is how do they have such a big menu when they are in such a small building? If you can fry it - they have it. Seriously though, excellent take out food at reasonable prices.

How many fast food restaurants serve peanut butter & jelly sandwiches in addition to the usual fast food fare? Not many, but Kingsport is blessed to have the Purple Cow. Their menu is extensive & their food quality is very good. I have seldom been disappointed ( soup beans & cornbread were rather bland).

The best way to eat there is call ahead, they will ask you for your order and what you are driving, then when you arrive, they will bring the food out to you, take your payment and all. Place your order, don't rush getting there and it will be ready about as soon as you arrive. I love the menu... More

Love this place! It's always packed but the food is delicious! Such a huge, huge selection! Unbelievable how they make so many different things in that small building! Call your order in and they will bring it to your car. Lots of food for the price!
