We lived in Texas for a couple of years where the ribs are supposed to be spectacular. Nothing came close to Phil's. My favorite are the dry-rubbed ribs with Sweet Fire sauce on the side. Baked Beans and Macaroni Salad complete the meal. To me, nothing is worse than baked pork slathered in sauce. Nothing like that here. Phil smokes... More

This weekend I've tried their pulled pork, their pork ribs, and their baked beans, and I was impressed with all of it. They have a blackberry sauce that is wonderful. Try the original sweet sauce too.

I love all types of bbq from all the major regions of classic American styles. Phill is definitely doing justice to this tradition of pulled pork . The Meat speaks for itself, they have good sauces but I use very little . I have yet to have a visitor or business travelers ive taken to lunch say " we should go... More

I don't always dream about bar-b-que but when I do I dream of Phil's. I love all of the sauces but my favorite is the blackberry sauce. If you haven't eaten there yet " what are you waiting for"

I normally discount BBQ locations in the south because their meat usually tastes all about the same. I'd heard many good things about Phil's and finally got to try them for myself. I was hungry for ribs one day and decided to do take out on some pork ribs for me and beef brisket for my wife. I ordered a... More

The absolute best most consistent bar-b-que I have ever found! This time we were driving home from Banner Elk and called ahead to order take home. They are the greatest. Fixed us up with racks of ribs all set to go in the oven when we got home. Everything was wrapped well and made it easy to heat up. You... More

After reading the reviews we pulled off the highway and made a beeline for this place. You guys were right on! We had the brisket - not fatty at all and very tender, pulled pork - pretty good and our overall favorite for smokey flavor and tenderness - the pork wings! These were followed closely by the baked beans, which... More

The pig wings are mouth watering. Cant beat the brisket and ribs are great. The sides are great but I always eat meat and never finish sides.

LOVE the BBQ and the beans (the beans are a must). The potato salad is one of the best I've ever had. The people here are very friendly and great Christian people. I love supporting a place that is so God-centered (not to mention the good food) and will be back soon, I'm sure!
