This one out by the mall in Johnson City was pretty good. The buffet was good. It had chicken, ribs, steak, fried fish. Had a salad bar and dessert bar on it. I enjoyed the chicken and fried fish.

Second trip to Johnson City this year. Enjoyed eating here enough the first time that we came back for more (twice more this trip). Had the breakfast/lunch buffet one day and the dinner buffet another night. We seldom ever eat from a buffet but everything looked so good and was extremely inexpensive. Everything was tasty and well prepared, especially the... More

I received a discount for eating at Shoney's for staying at the nearby Red Roof Inn. I'd seen branches of the restaurant around, but this was the first Shoney's at which I'd eaten. I came here once for lunch and once for dinner. The buffets were filling with some nice dishes, including chicken and dumplings. Almost everything seemed fresh, and... More

We went in at 11:30 AM on a Wednesday and along with lunch they were still serving breakfast, and this was just what we wanted, but we figured at the time it was lunch would be the meal being served. We came here because the Holiday Inn wasn't open for lunch.

Shoney's seems to be the southern version of Denny's. The food is good, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are easy on the wallet.

Normally I avoid Shoney's. Not good past experiences at other ones in other areas. However, this was great. The seafood ( and other choices) buffet bar was fresh, and tasty. Lots of salad and fruit options. The staff was friendly and attentive. They even had a little gift shop that was charming

We decided to try to get into the Johnson City Shoney's on, of all days, Easter! The place was packed, yet staff managed to find us a nice table. The food on the Easter buffet was terrific! It was just like home cooking, and the variety was outstanding. Service was very good also, considering how packed the place was. The... More

Nothing special. They did have the buffet and I liked it but my 11 yr old didn't like anything so $10 down the drain.
