It wasn't bad!

It was alright! I expected more than a steak and baked potato that I could get just about anywhere. My husband and I probably won't drive an hour for this experience again!

I remember the day when going to the peerless was a treat. Apparently those days are long gone. We had poor service. Our steaks were cold but not as cold as the potatoes. Man have things changed around here.

We stopped here after a long day of touring. We sat at the bar and enjoyed filet bites, flaming cheese, and prime rib sliders. Staff very friendly, drinks generous pours, food was yummy.

The Peerless has a unique history in our town. The challenge is to keep that tradition alive. When we want a really good steak, we look no further. The reviews are mixed with quality and service but we usually go away satisfied.

We ate at the Peerless a couple weeks ago. This was the first time we ate at the restaurant after moving back to Johnson City. It certainly isn't what it used to be. Dinner started with stale saltines, brought to us in a little basket by our waitress who was sporting a tie whose pattern was obscured by a dozen... More

We read several local and online reviews before going for their seafood/steak meals. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu. The food had absolutely no seasoning at all. The shrimp was cold, the sides we ordered were totally ignored. The only decent thing about this place was the fish and chips my nephew got, Although I don't consider... More

It had been several years since the wife and I visited the Peerless. I saw the $6 burger special and decided to give it a try. The food was very very good, service was also most excellent!

If you want any kind of service don't eat at the bar. Bartender is too busy to care. Logging in his receipts and not glancing up he gave no greeting; just a what do you want to drink and it is burger Monday. Order my drink and prime rib (which was very good). Asked for balsamic vinaigrette dressing, put it... More

On 8/22/015 a friend and I went to the Peerless to eat dinner. We arrived early and were seated immediately. We both ordered the small filet. I ordered a house salad (an additional charge) and I asked for the vegetable of the day which was asparagus. The house salad was somewhat different with mainly iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of...
