I expected much more from Peerless. We sat on the restaurant for 20 minutes before being noticed. One server who wasn't in our section but was working very hard finally got us some drinks. Our server must have been new. She came to the table and said "sorry, they had me working the bar". Then she asked if we wanted... More

We were six people and four of the meals were cold or cooked wrong when the meals arrived. The prices are on the high side for what you get ($$$$). The beer was reasonable but the mixed drinks and the wine by the glass was way over priced.

This restaurant really surprises me. We ate here 2 times in the last month and seriously considering never coming back. This should be a top notch restaurant, but in my humble opinion I do not feel it lives up to its old reputation. The fajitas was the worse my wife ever had. They do not understand how to prepare these.... More

Had not returned to Peerless in about a year. Ordered filet & Grecian salad. Both were super. Unfortunately, my wife and friend had the ribeye - these steaks were below par. Service was very good - once they realized we were there. Food still seems to be "hit or miss."

I swore off the a Peerless a year and a half-two years ago. Lackluster food and lackadaisical service at best. Terrible! Tonight, my wife begged me to go to the a Peerless so she could a burger and salad. Against my best intentions I agreed to go. I got my socks knocked off. The service was great and very professional.... More

Walked in on a Friday night, the server was attentive but the food took a while to be served. Once we got it, it was very good.

We used to eat here and always enjoyed it. Hadn't been in awhile, took some colleagues for dinner. 4 people and a $331 bill for food most of us put in to go boxes. One of our guests noticed a strong taste of lighter fluid in his steak. For the price the quality just wasn't there tonight.

Went based on a locals recommendation. Glad I did. Filet was cooked perfectly, sides were good just not great. Sat at the bar and received good service. Bartender was helpful. It is a bit overpriced but for value received it was better than a lot of similar places.

Went to the Peerless for a casual dinner with wife. I had wedge salad (very good vinegerette) we then split an entrée and baked potato - very good. We ate in the bar area and were waited on by Ben who was friendly and attentive, but not suffocating. Total bill was $25. I have been to Peerless many times and... More

This place was supposed to be one of the best in Johnson City, TN. I visited the place few times; it was overpriced with low quality service. It seems that the management thinks that this place is the best and people are privileged to let them eat there. When I asked regarding making a group reservation for a rehearsal dinner,... More
