I really like Cootie Brown's! The owner started it from scratch a few years back and the atmosphere is anything but typical. Cooties has a major following of the younger generation, however, there is plenty for old folks too like as well. The food? "Great" is the best way to describe it. Food with a twist? YES! and it is... More

In our 6 day vacation we ate here 3 times. We both had something different each time and I can honestly say it is one of the best places I have ever eaten. I would tell anyone conming to Johnson City to eat here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is fun. I will... More

The sandwich I had was quite good. I Had the NY Rueben and it tasted like the ones you get in NYC (been there so I know the difference). Really good. And the service was great considering it was crowded with lunch people.

Cootie Browns is a fun food venue, offering an outdoor/indoor cafe and also provides gluten-free dishes, as well.

Unusual design of roof-covered seating area with outside wall openings like windows for feeling of eating outdoors, but also had a closed indoor eating area. Large menu; if you can't find what you want here, you really aren't hungry! Good food and a beer. What more can you ask for?? Casual atmosphere. Fast service even though they were very busy.... More

The embarrassing truth is I go to Cooties for the turtle turtle cake. It's chocolate coconut and nuts and big enough for two to share. I always share it with my partner. They also have a huge menu with lots of vegetarian and carnivore choices like great salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, and more. Just save room for the cake!

I ordered the Muffaletta. It was great. We got Tamales and they were great. Atmosphere is funky and laid back which is good.

We ordered a pizza, as we have for years, and the manager said we could not add pine nut to half of a pizza on future orders. We did pay for the extra topping and when we picked up the pizza it was wrong. My husband tried to talk to the manager, who was unavailable. We will not be going... More
