Decided to try this place out after seeing good reviews. Big mistake. The place looks run down; the food is not very good, and the service is mediocre. I can't really say anything good about it.. more

Cootie's strawberry pie is probably the most amazing dessert I have EVER eaten (I am a dessert lover and eaten them everywhere). The rest of the food is very good, not necessarily great, but very good. I would definitely suggest the Taco-Rito or Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The service has varied on visits. We have had some great waiters and some... more

From the funky decor to the great food, everything about Cootie Brown's is wonderful! They have an eclectic assortment of food, from pizza to burgers to tamales to sandwiches and the one thing you can count on is that it's all good. Everything I've ever gotten there has been amazing. The service is great and the decor is fun. There... more

This is one of those restaurants that everyone in my family loves (kids included, even my picky one). I love their gourmet pizzas - the Caribbean (spinach, jerk chicken, portabella mushrooms, pica-dillo, mmmm!) is my favorite. You can order a "half" pizza for $9 and it's still enough for my husband and me but we always get some of their... more

One of those places that stand out because they're not a chain, not the usual boring choices. Cootie's is defiantely a unique recycling of a former business spot, on one of Johnson City's main drags. Sitting out under the front canopy you get to enjoy the evening and people watch. Service is usually attentive, but can slow down when large... more

My wife and I enjoy eating out and out side we went last summer and it was pleasant. Nice food (if you are looking for a burger) and a relaxed laid back feel. more

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The food is especially flavorful and a great variety. They also have a huge beer selection (although nothing on tap) Food is more on the savory side. Pizzas are 'different' with a wide range of toppings and very thin crusts. My personal favorite is the Caribbean on wheat crust. The Jamaican Jerk... more

I'm originally from the Johnson City, TN area. When I go back home to visit family I have to visit this restaurant. The decore may be strange to some. My parents didn't like it at first but now they eat there all the time. This restaurant has great food. I like the thin crust pizza, muffaletta sandwich, homemade potato chips... more

After pulling into town later than I wanted to eat, I began scouring Johnson City for a place to grab a bite. I wanted to stay away from the two restaurants I dined at last time and still be anti-chain. I turned around after thinking I was lost and noticed several cars parked outside a multi-colored building. It turned out... more
