The place was packed so some of the food is very good. My companions sandwiches were huge. However, if you order from the "Lighter Fare" menu, be prepared to leave hungry. My tiny piece of grilled chicken and 4 (yes 4) pieces of broccoli weren't worth the $6.49 I paid. I took a picture of it, but there isn't any... More

We lived in Johnson city and frequented the Firehouse often. We returned after about 8 years and it is the best BBQ. Having lived in other places and now in Texas this is the best BBQ I have eaten. There is so much to be said for good sauce, I cannot wait until it is bottled. Please let us know... More

Me and my friend went to the Fire house early this week for lunch, the set up was strange; we arrived and were given menus and had to stand in like to order, then seat ourselves, but it had the feel of a sit down restaurant, which was odd. It was prime lunch time and the place was very busy,... More

We decided to try the Firehouse based upon tripadvisor recommendations. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. We had the Smoked Beef Brisket and the pulled pork platters. Both very good. We both had the baked potato as a side and it was probably the best baked potato I have ever had. We liked it so much that we... More

Firehouse always has great service and food. On our most recent visit our server was the best we had ever had! Did everything in a very timely fashion even though he had two groups he was also serving. Keep up the great job! We will return. :)

This place is ok unless you have to time to go to the North Side of town. Better BBQ can be found in JC

We met a friend at Firehouse for lunch. We were seated immediately and our server was not long in coming and taking our order. I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the fries. It was the best BBQ I have had in a long time. It was very tender and the Carolina BBQ sauce gave it the right flavor.... More
