I often sit at bars at restaurants, and this was one of the best experiences I have ever had as a bar customer, eating dinner. I got the crab cakes and they were succulent, flavorful and not to mention, a large portion! There were plenty of signature cocktails to choose from and an extensive wine list. The wait staff was attentive... More

This restaurant is in an old warehouse down town. Upscale restaurant, but you will pay for it. Prime rib was delicious!

We went to The Battery to celebrate my birthday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. They were offering $1 Lobster fritters as appetizers-very good. Enjoyed the collard greens and the salt and vinegar fries-you can't taste the vinegar. The desserts were a good size to share but not the huge ones you get at most places these days.... More

This was our first time eating at this restaurant and I have mixed feelings about our experience. First off we had a very long wait, yet there were empty tables?? When the waiter came to fill our water glasses he spilled water all over my purse getting most of it's contents soaking wet. We then ordered an appetizer of lobster... More

We hoped for a good restaurant in j.c. but found a bar with overpriced attempts to create a nice dining experience. After 9 the place turns into a crowded college drinking hole. Dark and questionable patrons beware

Crab cakes were really good(dinner portion). The tuna was perfectly cooked! Neat atmosphere. Prices weren't bad for the quality/quantity of food. After seeing some of the other reviews, I was I little worried. But I enjoyed my meal very much!

We heard the experience at The Battery was inconsistent, but found it to be very good. We got Shrimp and Grits and Chicken Marsala. Both were very good. The atmosphere is kind of like a bar scene, but the building handled the noise and it was easy to talk a the the tables. The service was great. We will go... More

I've tried The Battery twice, once for dinner on a Friday evening in July, and once for the Sunday brunch buffet in August. I liked the brunch buffet much better than the dinner, but I had higher expectations for both. At dinner I had the crab cake appetizer at $9 and it was not much larger than two inches across... More

I read all the reviews & they just didn't line up with what my friends have been telling me. My local friends love this place. A friend & I decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We were seated quickly, & the service was great! We started with lobster fritters. $1 each during happy hour. Amazingly crisp... More
