By far the filthiest restaurant, with the worst selection of food I have ever eaten. Buffet style restaurant with many choices but nothing edible. GREASY, GREASY, GREASY. We were hard pressed to find anything that was not smothered in white gravy or oil. I was tempted to ask for my money back that's how bad it was.

Forty plus years ago this place was amazing to say the least but that was not the case this time around. We traveled as a couple (57 & 61) stopping here on the way to Nashville. The entire building is wood and really starting to show its age. Even the booths has the same red plaid cigarette burnt tablecloths! The... More

If you enjoy beans of every type, collard greens, good home made vegy soup, great chicken, country ham, or pork....this is a great place to eat... all buffet style :)

Mostly the food was good. An service was to. The best banana pudding cooked the old fashion way. The tables needed a lot of attention. As of other things. The health department needs a close look at this restaurant.

We visited here on the way from Tulsa to NC, touring the Casey Jones exhibit across the parking lot and then the restaurant. It was all buffet when we visited, and had an excellent variety of meats, salad, veggies, and dessert. Selections included fried fish, fried chicken, baked spaghetti, BBQ pork, collards / county ham for seasoning, mashed potatoes, mac... More

This place looks like a rundown copy cat of Cracker Barrel and its country store. Not very clean looking inside. Extremely over priced collectables and nick knacks. Very good for picture taking from the outside.

Great food with a large variety of foods. Service very good. If you're looking for a home cooked meal away from home, this is the place.

Decided to go here for breakfast on July 5th. I didn't know the restaurant had changed to buffet only. Patrons must now pay before entering the restaurant. The buffet area is not nearly large enough to accommodate the number of people in their very large seating area. The buffet area was always packed with people and the area is just... More

Waited over half an hour to eat at the buffet while they seated 8 busloads of tourists who arrived after me and had reservations. You have to pay first, then wait in line. They don't take names so you can look around or sit down (if you get out of line, you lose your spot). After all that, the food... More

The premise behind this restaurant is sound, but the execution is horrid. On our recent road trip, we stopped in Jackson due to inclement weather. It was "raining elephants" as my daughter would say. The restaurant was so close to our hotel, we could have walked - if not for the rain. I love the story of Casey Jones and... More
