Southern comfort food

This is a very god place to bring your appetite. Food is very good and a lot of choices. The store had a lot of interesting items such as clothing and sweet treats for all ages. It is handicap ascessiable and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The Old Country Store in Jackson, TN is the original antique-decorated, country-good cooking, fun, friendly place for eating and shopping. Located in Casey Jones Village, just off I-40, it is a favorite of locals and tour groups. The service is now all-buffet, and it is a huge one. Don't miss the hoecakes/cracklin corn bread that is fried up right in... More

The restaurant has an all you can eat buffet. The best time to go cost wise is Monday- Thursday for lunch which is until 3:00. The building also has a smaller cafe and an ice cream shop with shopping and attractions in the Casey Jones Village.

This buffet is fantastic. Ribs are spectacular, Fried Chicken excellent, salad bar is amazing, catfish too, cornbread, fruit, soups, all the sides and fixings like Grandma used to make. Greens, mashed potato, mac N cheese...... Great desserts too. The friendly servers work hard .... they do a great job at keeping your glass full. The old time shop that you... More

We would always love to stop in Jackson and have lunch or dinner here. We travel quite a bit and it had been a while since we were last there. I noticed as we came in that all of the wonderful autographed photos were taken down from the entrance. The color scheme was changed to garish greens. Then, as we... More

Very good food but a little pricey... Only thing missing was the ice cream on top of the cobbler. Other then that food was really good and a lot to choose from.

Some of the best southern home style cooking, we've had in a while. Loved the fried chicken and catfish. Had several types of greens, mac and cheese. Buffet style was hard to decide. Awesome blackberry cobbler for desert. Went back for breakfast had all the comfort breakfast selections, biscuits and gravy, fried bologna, 3 different types if eggs and a... More

We stopped in on our way through on the interstate since we'd heard about this place on a local travel show about Tennessee. The food was great! Country style Sunday buffet. excellent fried chicken, homemade chicken n dumplings, 2 kinds of greens, cornmeal fritters, and all sorts of meat and vegetables to choose from. Worth the trip!
