cornbread and rolls to die for, menu is a cornucopia of all the good stuff my husbands mom made so when i say its as good as home made i mean it's done right. Everything i tasted left me grinning. If i didn't have to drive 1200 miles to get to one i'd be eating here all the time

Try the fried green tomato sandwich..the food is very good and the prices reasonable. If I lived here I would eat here often. I would have given it a five but the french fries are of the frozen variety .

Went to lunch with my husband Tony Vanoy and daughter Noelle Teel to Black-eyed Pea Restaurant. We had went to Hendersonville, TN to check out the Gravesite of Johnny Cash and June Carter, it was lunchtime, so we stopped here. We had never been here before. We were pleasantly surprised. The decor was lovely. The restaurant was so nice and... More

This is a nice family restaurant with a great choice of meals, from nice evening meals. Food prices are affordable, and they welcome children! Good plate lunches as well as sandwiches, steaks, fish, about anything you might wish to order. Nice inside with good staff. Sometimes they offer live music while you eat.

I am not a fan of their meatloaf. I am use to using ground turkey for my meatloaf. Other than that someone else may like it. I like their chicken fried chicken. They have 22 vegetables. I like the squash, carrots, and apples. I love their cornbread. It just melts in your mouth. For dessert the Famous Banana A'Pea'L is... More

My wife and I are new to Hendersonville from MN. We have been to this restaurant 5 times (my wife's been there 6). The service is superb, second to none, real southern hospitality, it is awesome. The first 2 nights we arrive in town, we ate here with our family and clan that was helping us move. Taylor, our waitress... More

This used to be on e of our favorite "Meat and 3" restaurants. I am sad to say that this restaurant's as such, is No More. Everything was wrong with the meal except the drinks. The food was cold and void of any home cooking flavor. I hope that someone in this company's management team reviews Trip Advisor for customer... More

This used to be one of our favorite places. While this is the only one in this area of the country, I am hoping their other establishments in this chain in the Midwestern states are an improvement and it is not indicative of their overall corporate ideas on running a restaurant. In the last 2 years it has been on... More

Ate here twice while staying at the hotel nearby. First for lunch I simply had the fried green tomato BLT. A big fan of BLT's I thought it was absolutely delicious. The next evening I came in for dinner. Chicken Fried Steak, cornbread stuffing and their corn on the cob ( not sure how it was prepared, almost battered and... More
