I hadn't been to this restaurant in quite a while, though I recall it being good before. As soon as I walked in, I was repulsed by the smell. The restaurant smelled like an unclean fish market. I turned around and walked out before even being seated. Please resolve this so I can come back and actually try the food.

V ery good authentic food and never a very long wait for a seat, all at reasonable prices. Most customers are Asians. Good family experience. Friendly, personalable service. Good fish, chicken, beef and pork.

Ordered a variety of take out food ~ about $50 worth. Very mediocre experience. Decor did not look great, so somewhat glad we did take out. Waited a long time to get my pick up order that was just sitting there. Don;t seem all that focused on service!

Your eating tour of Memphis must include New Asia in Germantown. Order the fragrant eggplant with meat from the Asian menu, shrimp and walnuts, house special lo mein, crispy fish in spicy sauce, and green beans. We like it so much that it has replaced the Peabody Brunch (which is outstanding) as our special meal for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My clients from Guangdong Providence, China, love the authentic Cantonese cuisine at New Asia. He is our menu, for family style dining at New Asia, as a starter Shark fin soup, the soup is a nice flavorful both loaded with shark fin and crab. For main courses, Steamed whole cod, with scallions and ginger, Lobster with noodles, Cantonese roasted duck,... More

I absolutely love the food at New Asia. My family and I usually go every couple of months and that is only because we live too far to go on a regular basis. They have authentic Chinese dishes and also some standard Westernized ones too. I've tried quite a few from both menus and everything I have had is delicious.... More

It's usually full of Asians, so it must be a favorite.

I am a frequent visitor to this facility, dine in and also take out. Have gone there for some years now. The food quality is very consistent and the cost very reasonable, two qualities I look for. There are two colored menus, red and green one authetic Chienese and one Americanized. Get from either and you will be very happy.... More
