Artsy cool sandwich spot

In a town full of deep fried, meat-n-three places, the Mercantile offers choices like salad and light sandwiches. Everything was very good. The decor is fun and artsy. Everyone was pleased with lunch.

I am a pastor at a church right across the street from the Mercantile and I couldn't be happier about that! It is the best sandwich place I've eaten at in my 58 years on earth. The people taking your order are friendly and the hand written (in chalk) menu has something for everyone. If you come early, there is... More

Easy to miss on a side street, locals all know where it is. We have eaten here many times, always friendly and great food. Highly recommend the Annabelle sandwich.

I was in Franklin for a week for work and decided to try out The Mercantile for a quick sandwich...it was so good I went back the next day. They have a great 1/2 sandwich with cup of soup option! Would highly recommend this place!

Just started new job in downtown franklin and had lunch here. Soup/.sandwich/salad shop with Ivey cupcakes in back. Expensive, but good. More of a special occasion for a lunchtime meal

We live within walking distance to downtown Franklin, and nearly each and every Saturday morning, our go-to place is the Merc. The staff is friendly, the food is great, they music is enjoyable, and the clientele are familiar. We also enjoy our lunches and dinners there, too.

We love the BLT's on Farmhouse White and some type of "chocolate disaster" dessert. Wow! Very neat little spot.

Nice restaurant with unique atmosphere. The tuna melt was great and the service, which is just ordering at a counter and you go up to get your food, was nice. Just off Main Street in franklin

We just grabbed a cupcake from next door and some fruit tea from here - it was delish and refreshing. The atmosphere is great, service was friendly. Very clean.

I have only eaten there once. Was not impressed. Had to wait in line and then wait for table. Food average. Soup not bad. Better places around.
