Just started new job in downtown franklin and had lunch here. Soup/.sandwich/salad shop with Ivey cupcakes in back. Expensive, but good. More of a special occasion for a lunchtime meal

We live within walking distance to downtown Franklin, and nearly each and every Saturday morning, our go-to place is the Merc. The staff is friendly, the food is great, they music is enjoyable, and the clientele are familiar. We also enjoy our lunches and dinners there, too.

We love the BLT's on Farmhouse White and some type of "chocolate disaster" dessert. Wow! Very neat little spot.

Nice restaurant with unique atmosphere. The tuna melt was great and the service, which is just ordering at a counter and you go up to get your food, was nice. Just off Main Street in franklin

We just grabbed a cupcake from next door and some fruit tea from here - it was delish and refreshing. The atmosphere is great, service was friendly. Very clean.

I have only eaten there once. Was not impressed. Had to wait in line and then wait for table. Food average. Soup not bad. Better places around.

Franklin seems to have so many of these restaurant places. Mismatched chairs and tables, shabby chic decor, and miscellaneous items strew on the the walls. This is just another one of those places. The food is better than averages and the portions are generous---you could easily share. It's off Main Street so it probably gets more local customers than tourists.... More

While shopping in historic downtown Franklin, a shopkeeper suggested the Franklin Merchantile Deli as a good place for lunch. She mentioned their BLT as particularly good, and since this is a favorite of my mom's, we decided to give it a try. It was fairly busy, being the noon hour, but there were tables both inside and outside, as well... More

You will get an average meal here, that's all. The atmosphere is cute and I did once see Johnny Cash eating a sandwich here, but that is not enough for me. I opt for Merridee's instead.

They have a ton of options for sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. The chicken salad is my favorite. They make everything in house and have a pimento cheese sandwich that's actually good. I've never like pimento cheese!
