Fantastic sweet tea and potato salad

I'm a sweet tea fanatic even though I once again live in my home state of CO (used to live in NM with a lot of Texans). This place had the best sweet tea I've had in my week long visit in Tennessee. I'm also very picky about my potato salad and had a sample before ordering it as a... read more

Haven't frequented Franklin Mercantile very often but after today will make a point of doing so! I had a classic blt which was very good. Several others got the salad sampler ( chicken, tuna, pimento) which I will probably get next time. The 4th Ave deli sandwich looked good as well. Paired with fruit tea. I will definitely go back... I met a group here recently for breakfast, A neat smaller cafe place off the square with a few tables out on the sidewalk, I ordered an omelet from the menu board at the counter, for $6.95 you got a choice of 3 from few items on the board, One of the items was swiss cheese, One would assume some... Grabbed a club sandwich and tomatoes soup here. Soup was pretty good. Sandwich was average. Staff was helpful.

Love this place, whether it's a cup of delish tomato soup alongside a tasty half sandwich, or a decadent slice of dessert. Homey

We were looking for a place for breakfast while waiting for the Carnton Planation and we found this. It was a little Gem the food was fantastic and the coffee was the best I have ever tasted.

Neat little restaurant in downtown. We always stop in when we are passing through franklin. Our favorite thing to get is the Tomato Basic Soup and their Fruit tea. The sandwiches are always good as well.

In a town full of deep fried, meat-n-three places, the Mercantile offers choices like salad and light sandwiches. Everything was very good. The decor is fun and artsy. Everyone was pleased with lunch.

I am a pastor at a church right across the street from the Mercantile and I couldn't be happier about that! It is the best sandwich place I've eaten at in my 58 years on earth. The people taking your order are friendly and the hand written (in chalk) menu has something for everyone. If you come early, there is... More

Easy to miss on a side street, locals all know where it is. We have eaten here many times, always friendly and great food. Highly recommend the Annabelle sandwich.
