Had very authentic Irish Fish & Chips for lunch. It is a small restaurant so when we tried to go back their the next evening, it was too crowded to even get in the door. But off-peak times in the evenings or during daytime hours, it is definitely worth a stop!

Very small pub but worth stopping in. Have eaten here on 2 separate occasions while visiting Franklin. The fish and chips are a must. They come out hot and crispy on the outside yet soft and flaky on the inside. They serve it with what appears to be a homemade tarter sauce and I ask for crispy fries. The portions... More

If we have to eat in downtown Franklin, this is our choice because of the ambiance and reasonable prices with decent service. It's a great alternative to the paradoxical "upscale country cooking" choices. We usually get the bangers and mash, but the sausage has been a bit too greasy lately--- hope they fix that.

Awesome place to go for a beer and some shepard's pie. It's just like a traditional irish pub. It's small so there might be a wait, but it's worth it. Seriously, that Shepard's Pie is awesome. Cheesy, warm and comforting like it should be!

Most Irish pubs are not known for their fare, but this one is a great place for lunch. It is right downtown and is a great place that all the locals go to, so you will feel like and be treated like one when you go!

First dined here 6 yrs ago & it's been a fave family spot with repeated visits since. Small pub, so expect a wait. 2 sm. tables for outdoor seating. Daughter swears by portabella mushroom sandwich. Burgers, salads, sandwiches, fish & chips, tasty salmon with a sweet mustard sauce, corn beef (can be hit or miss with fat), other entrees &... More

There are tons of places to eat in downtown Franklin. We decided to try McCreary's while we were waiting for another activity taking place later in the evening. What a delicious surprise! There were two of us, so between us we tried the fish and chips as well as the veggie potato. The veggie potato was a decent size, although... More

The waiter was once but a little abrupt. We had corn beef and cabbage. The cabbage and mashed potatoes were excellent. The corn beef was okay but had too much fat. The place was small which gave it a pub feel. We would eat there again but would not have the corn beef.

First visit to McCrearys and it was good. It was somewhat busy so when we walked in we didn't know if we were supposed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. I had to track someone down to clarify this. We got a table and placed our order. The waitress was friendly. We ordered shepherds pie which my friend... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Franklin! I have some Irish in my background and this place makes me smile whenever we go. It is quite small, relatively speaking but its part of the charm. The Fish and Chips with a cold Guinness is a great go-to!
