Over the holidays we had family in town and wanted to explore downtown Franklin. It was about 2PM and we wanted a late lunch so we picked McCreary's. When we first tried to get in the place was packed so we walked down the street and our second choice was also full. When we came back a few minutes later... More

Great spot ,Great Staff, Historic location. Nice change from chains, love craft beers and always check it out on way back from airport with my daughter from the Rock Harbour Pub and Brewery in Maine. She tries the brew I love the tasty corned beef sandwiches. Fun feeling of Eire.

This is a great little place for lunch, or to meet up with friends for a pint and some Irish cheese chips. The staff always has that "coma-co-dhiu" attitude you want in an Irish pub experience. Always packed and lively - they have outdoor sitting as well. They have a Whiskey Salmon that is to die for. Others stand outs... More

My husband and I look forward to visiting McCreary's every time we're in Franklin. He loves it for the beer selection and almost authentic Irish food. I love it for the atmosphere and any of the food. Some of our favorites: Corned beef and cabbage, Shepherd's pie, Limerick Hot Potato, and Fish & Chips. The chefs here take original Irish... More

This little Irish Pub nestled in the quaint little downtown of Franklin, TN deliveres on its name. A lengthy beer list to the Irish favors from corned beef and cabbage to some if the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Only 30 min from Nashville, a unique and special getAway.

We are fans of Irish pubs so decided to try McCreary's. It is a very small pub. The Irish part of the atmosphere is mostly done with posters on the walls. The menu has several Irish dishes. We had the bangers and mash and shepherd's pie. Both had additions to the traditional recipes. While they were good, I'd really rather... More

So glad you enjoyed your meal and we invite you to come back and try some of our more traditional recipes that don't have an American twist like our Dublin Pot Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage. Also for breakfast our Ulster Fry is served with a more traditional banger that you may prefer and is served with both white... More

This is a very friendly place to drop in. I may be biased because I love Irish bars, but this one is my favorite in Franklin. The beer selection is great and the appetizers are good as well. The menu is great too. There is quite a selection for such a small place. I think the atmosphere is perfect. The... More

There is really nothing that was remarkable about McCreary's. Average service, food, atmosphere and price. I think it is safe to say that if it weren't located in downtown Franklin where there are many people, especially tourists, it would not be in business long. It's a great casual place to grab a beer in town but I wouldn't recommend coming... More

Thanks for your feedback. We always love hearing everyone's experience whether good, bad or just "average". Sorry to hear that we failed to impress you on this occasion and would love to know what we could do to be better. As a locally owned family business we always strive to compete with the corporate "big guys" while maintaining our casual... More

This is a good lunch place. Friendly servers and good prices. Good location on Main Street. Good local ownership and not a chain.

Dropped by for lunch with friends. No whiskey! Only sell beer and wine. Small, not that clean, food was average and took nearly 30 mins after ordering sandwiches! The wait staff was impersonal. On a Saturday looked like the place was being run by 20-somethings and it showed. My advice, find another place in Franklin.

So sorry we are just now responding. Trying to get savvy with all social media and did not ever realize Trip Advisor offered businesses a chance to respond! So glad they do. Thanks for the response. We sure do wish we could have whiskey too! We get such a request being an Irish Pub after all! Unfortunately we are so small... More
