First visit to McCrearys and it was good. It was somewhat busy so when we walked in we didn't know if we were supposed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. I had to track someone down to clarify this. We got a table and placed our order. The waitress was friendly. We ordered shepherds pie which my friend... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Franklin! I have some Irish in my background and this place makes me smile whenever we go. It is quite small, relatively speaking but its part of the charm. The Fish and Chips with a cold Guinness is a great go-to!

It seems like every time we're in downtown Franklin, we end up here. It's a comfy place, good food. I had a veggie plate that was pretty bland one time- so I just stick to the fish and chips. Hubby and kids always get burgers or chicken. Reasonable prices. Their restroom is interesting - but it must be costly to... More

This is a place where I can relax and drink a glass of wine and listen to Irish music, and bring all my children with me. The Irish music and food is amazing. This is truly my happy place. You can not be unhappy here. Even my nine year old loves it. You leave your worries at the door when... More

Every time I go here I expect to get blown away. I want this place to be great. However I am often not. Service can be slow however depending on your waiter it can be friendly. Tonight it took me 10 minutes longer to get my beer than the rest of the table. The appetizer "Irish Cheese Chips" was a... More

Fish & chips were great, good portion & pretty good beer list. A little loud to hear sometimes, but I'd expect that at a pub.

Went in for a late lunch and place was not crowded. Plenty of seating. However, I could see when this place is packed it being too close for comfort. Lots of seating real close together. That said, the burger was amazing!! Fries are fantastic! Husband had fish and chips and said they were really good too! I would definitely go... More

Being a small town the spots to eat are limited and busy. We were lucky enough to get a table at McCreary's and it was very good. The service was great even though they were very busy and the food arrived hot and tasty. The prices are reasonable.

We have been going here for 18 years for the fish/chips and other great food. Love the compact pub feel and consider it one of our "go-to" places for dinner very frequently. They pour a very very good Guinness--;)

Pub fare was tasty, and the beer was refreshing. However the manager must have changed his mind about offering his Happy Hour rates. We were sad to find our bill full price and the sandwich board that had lured us in with the Happy Hour times had been erased.
